Permanent Content — No Time Pressure

One of the most player-friendly aspects of this collaboration was its permanent status. Unlike earlier crossover events that ran for a limited window, the FFXIV x Monster Hunter: Wilds event content remained accessible after launch. Subscribers did not need to rush their schedule or resubscribe specifically to catch a limited-time window.

This also meant players could work through the Windward Wild and Windward Wilds Extreme modes at their own pace, fitting the event around ongoing progression through other Dawntrail content rather than treating it as a sprint.

Tokyo Game Show: Further Details Revealed

The Tokyo Game Show (September 2025) followed the Patch 7.35 launch and confirmed additional details about the collaboration, including the full 21-weapon roster across job types and complete armor set information. Community discussion in the days after the show centered on which jobs benefited most from the Arkfeld-themed weapon designs.

The collaboration represented one chapter in the broader Dawntrail content schedule through the Patch 7.3x series, keeping players engaged between major raid-tier releases.
