Shadowfang Keep is one of the most quest-dense Classic dungeons for Horde players, offering three standard Horde quests and two cross-faction class chains for Paladins and Warlocks. The quests concentrate in the 18-25 level bracket and reward gear strong enough to carry characters into the next dungeon tier.
Quest giver: Keeper Bel'dugur in the Undercity's Apothecarium. Objective: retrieve The Book of Ur from a bookshelf in the room just before the Fenrus the Devourer encounter. The book sits on a shelf — it is a ground loot, not a boss drop. Clear the hallway trash first, then pick it up before pulling Fenrus to avoid losing it in the chaos. Rewards: Grizzled Boots or Steel-clasped Bracers.
Quest giver: Dalar Dawnweaver at the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Objective: defeat Archmage Arugal, the final boss of Shadowfang Keep, and bring back his head. Arugal teleports around the room and tosses Arugal's Void bolts; spread the party to avoid chain damage and focus healing on whoever he targets between teleports. Reward: Seal of Sylvanas.
Quest giver: High Executor Hadrec at the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. The quest has two objectives. First: locate Deathstalker Adamant, found alive and imprisoned near Rethilgore in the first wing of the keep. Second: find Deathstalker Vincent, found dead inside the courtyard. Deathstalker Adamant also opens the door to the courtyard when you first reach him, so clear toward Rethilgore early.
Quest giver: Jordan Stilwell in the Mystic Ward of Ironforge. This quest is one step in the extended chain to craft Verigan's Fist — among the strongest two-handed maces for Paladins in the 20-25 level range. Inside SFK, the objective is to retrieve Jordan's Smithing Hammer, found sitting on a log inside the Fel Steed stables. It is not a mob drop; walk into the stables and loot it off the ground.
Quest giver: Doan Karhan near the Crossroads in The Barrens. This quest spans two dungeons (SFK and Blackfathom Deeps), so plan to run both. Inside Shadowfang Keep, the objective is the Large Soran'ruk Fragment, which drops from Shadowfang Darksoul enemies throughout the dungeon. Rewards on completion: Orb of Soran'ruk or Staff of Soran'ruk.
Both class quests are available to Alliance Paladins and Warlocks; the Paladin and Warlock chains are cross-faction even though the three Horde quests are not. Alliance characters can run SFK specifically to complete these class chains.

Doan Karhan near the Crossroads in The Barrens gives The Orb of Soran'ruk. Inside SFK, the objective is the Large Soran'ruk Fragment, which drops from Shadowfang Darksoul enemies. Note that the full quest chain also requires a fragment from Blackfathom Deeps before collecting the final reward.
Shadowfang Keep is a level 18-27 dungeon. Most players run it at level 20-25 when completing the quest chain. For the WoW Classic 20th Anniversary realms, the dungeon scales to Classic-era levels and the quest rewards remain relevant through the level 30 bracket.
Alliance players cannot access the three Horde dungeon quests (The Book of Ur, Arugal Must Die, Deathstalkers in Shadowfang). However, Alliance Paladins and Warlocks can both complete their class quests inside the dungeon: The Test of Righteousness and The Orb of Soran'ruk are cross-faction and available from quest givers in Ironforge and The Barrens respectively.
