Prepare the Quest Chains Before Travelling to Zul'Farrak
Original WoW Classic Zul'Farrak has six shared dungeon quests and two faction-specific quests in this reference. Some are direct pickups; others require outdoor preparation. In particular, Wizzle's Gahz'rilla quest does not award the summoning mallet, and The Spider God is a reading objective rather than a ceremony beside Theka.
The guide covers the original dungeon quest set, including Fresh/Era-style preparation. It does not use Retail or later-expansion versions of the summoning item. Check the actual quest log before the run: collecting an item without its relevant quest is not a substitute for completing an earlier chain.
The Six Shared Quests: Who Gives Them and What to Bring Back
The same NPC normally receives the completed task. The Mosh'aru chain and Gahz'rilla preparation have additional steps explained after the pickup reference.

For the pool area, Hydromancer Velratha serves two different collection objectives: the Tiara and the Second Mosh'aru Tablet. Near the pyramid event, Sergeant Bly's rod and Nekrum Gutchewer's medallion likewise come from different enemies.
Referrals such as Tran'rek, Tabetha's Task and The Brassbolts Brothers introduce quest givers; do not treat every referral as a mandatory extra journey. The completed Screecher Spirits quest, however, is a real prerequisite for The Prophecy of Mosh'aru.
Mosh'aru Preparation Starts in Feralas
Before the dungeon tablet quest, complete Screecher Spirits for Yeh'kinya in Steamwheedle Port. In Feralas, kill Vale Screechers, use the supplied Yeh'kinya's Bramble on their bodies, and interact with the revealed spirits. Obtain three spirit credits, then return to Yeh'kinya.
Pick up The Prophecy of Mosh'aru before heading into Zul'Farrak. Its First and Second Tablets are separate loot objectives, so check both before leaving the dungeon.
Gahz'rilla: Build the Mallet Separately from the Scale Quest
Wizzle asks for the Electrified Scale. The summoning tool is prepared through a separate Hinterlands route, described in the in-game Ancient Tablet. You do not need to acquire the tablet as a quest prerequisite to follow its directions.
- Obtain the Sacred Mallet. Its Classic item record identifies Qiaga the Keeper at the Altar of Zul in the Hinterlands as its source.
- Convert it at Jintha'Alor. Use the Sacred Mallet at the altar atop Jintha'Alor to create the Mallet of Zul'Farrak. The Sacred Mallet and the finished mallet are different items.
- Bring the finished mallet to the pool. The Gong of Zul'Farrak uses the Mallet of Zul'Farrak for the Gahz'rilla summon.
Arrange the finished mallet with the group before the run. Defeating Gahz'rilla and collecting his scale completes Wizzle's dungeon objective; return to Wizzle in the Shimmering Flats for the reward.
At Theka: Looting a Tablet and Reading a Tablet Are Different Jobs

Theka the Martyr drops the First Mosh'aru Tablet. Bring that and Velratha's Second Tablet back to Yeh'kinya.
- The Spider God: read
The Horde quest requires reading the Tablet of Theka to learn the spider god's name, then returning to Master Gadrin in Sen'jin Village. Looting the First Mosh'aru Tablet does not replace this reading objective.
The later Summoning Shadra quest takes place at Shadra'Alor in the Hinterlands. There is no need to look for that ceremony beside Theka in Zul'Farrak.
Faction Chains: Reach the Actual Dungeon Quest
Alliance - Nekrum's Medallion: begin with Witherbark Cages from Gryphon Master Talonaxe in Aerie Peak. Inspect the three cages and return, complete The Altar of Zul, then take Sharpbeak's Feather through the Thadius Grimshade step to Nethergarde Keep.
Nekrum's Medallion itself starts and ends with Thadius Grimshade in the Blasted Lands. Recover the medallion from Nekrum Gutchewer in the dungeon and return to Thadius. Talonaxe is the earlier chain contact, not the immediate dungeon turn-in.
Horde - The Spider God: the route begins with Venom Bottles at a Witherbark village in the Hinterlands, followed by Apothecary Lydon's Undamaged Venom Sac task in Tarren Mill. Collect a fresh sac from Hinterlands spiders and return it to Lydon. Consult Master Gadrin then sends you to Sen'jin Village.
Gadrin gives The Spider God, the dungeon reading task described above. After returning, Summoning Shadra uses Gadrin's Parchment in the Hinterlands and ultimately returns Shadra's venom to Lydon; that is a later outdoor follow-up.
Before departure, check the troll and shell counts, both Mosh'aru Tablets, the pool objectives and your faction's specific credit. A boss kill, a nearby tablet and the final outdoor turn-in are separate parts of completion.
