In Diablo 4's forthcoming Season 5, the developers are broadening the avenues through which Mythic Unique items can be acquired. Players can now find these items through several sources: Helltide Chests, Tortured Gifts, the Purveyor of Curiosities, and Whisper Caches, which are related to the Tree of Whispers. These additions are expected to enrich the player's quest for rare gears further.
Not only are there additional sources for these elusive items, but Season 5 also brings with them revamped visual effects. These enhancements are designed to make the Uniques and Mythic Uniques stand out more prominently, both when they are found on the battlefield and within a player’s inventory, enhancing the overall gaming aesthetics and user experience.
The frequency of Baneful Heart drops in Season 5 is being modified to ensure these items retain their value. Blizzard has implemented changes that start the drop chance at 13% from Tortured Gifts. This probability increases with each unsuccessful attempt to secure a Baneful Heart, resetting to 10% upon success. Similarly, encounters with Hellborne and the Helltide Assassin have an initial drop chance of 1%, also increasing with each failure but resetting to 2% after a successful drop.
