Patch 1.2.3 Arrived on December 5, 2023
Patch 1.2.3, Build 47693, arrived December 5, 2023, including Abattoir of Zir. Blizzard’s original patch archive supplies the historical changes below.
Affix Preview and Further Reflex Support
The Enchantment menu gained View Possible Affixes, showing possible outcomes. A preview helped a player inspect available replacements before making an enchanting decision; it did not guarantee a chosen result.
The notes also introduced further NVIDIA Reflex support, enabled through in-game settings.
The Published Nightmare Dungeon Glyph XP Values
| Nightmare tier | Previous Glyph XP | Patch 1.2.3 |
|---|---|---|
| 1–17 | Unchanged | Unchanged |
| 30 | 66 | 79 |
| 50 | 106 | 139 |
| 75 | 156 | 239 |
| 100 | 206 | 339 |
Blizzard cited data and feedback, aiming to encourage progression beyond Tier 50. The table preserves its selected examples; it does not interpolate unlisted tiers.
These are Nightmare Dungeon values. The separate December 8 AoZ hotfix changed the Abattoir’s own Glyph XP rewards.
The Mount Change Clarified the Tooltip
Previously locked mounts required Donan’s Favor for campaign players or level 25 for campaign skippers. The patch clarified the tooltip.
Selected Fixes and Their Actual Triggers
Read each fix with the condition that caused the original problem.
| Affected area | Specific corrected problem |
|---|---|
| Fallen Temple | Instantly destroying the Idol could block its objective. |
| Echo of Lilith | Some attacks failed when the party member who started the encounter died. |
| World Tier IV Varshan | Frostburn and Mother’s Embrace could drop Sacred instead of Ancestral. |
| Season of Blood | Blood Harvesters disappeared quickly; Norvaic repeated in co-op; Hatred’s Chosen Seeds failed Journey progress. |
For the seasonal dungeon added in this patch, see the original Abattoir entry and progression guide.
