Hell’s Ink Was Part of BlizzCon on November 3–4, 2023
Hell’s Ink appeared in BlizzCon 2023’s Diablo area in Hall A. The two-day convention offered permanent flash tattoos and a separate temporary option. This page records that event’s arrangements; the 2023 dates and sign-up process are historical.
Early coverage followed the floor-plan reveal. Arktane’s October 3 report for Wowhead identified Hell’s Ink on the map and noted that the design selection and the possible in-game title reward were still unresolved in that report.
Permanent and Temporary Tattoos Had Different Arrangements
Blizzard’s official Diablo IV event guide later specified the tattoo options. Its activity schedule covered both Friday and Saturday unless an exception was stated.

Complimentary tattoos did not mean an unlimited supply of permanent appointments. The published process required attendees to sign up in person; it was not an online reservation offer. The temporary activity had a different access rule.
The Floor Plan Placed the Activity in Hall A
The convention map groups “Hell’s Ink Tattoos” with the Diablo Cathedral Art Experience, Fat Goose Inn, Horadric Library, Tree of Whispers and Wings of Inarius. Hall A is separate from the BlizzCon Arena and its lobby.

What Was Confirmed About Mother’s Inked?
The cited sources do not establish Mother’s Inked as a guaranteed reward for receiving a BlizzCon 2023 tattoo. The October report discussed the title in connection with earlier Hell’s Ink tour stops, then explicitly left its availability at BlizzCon uncertain.
Blizzard’s later event guide confirmed the physical tattoo activities but did not promise that title for either option. That omission is not proof that no attendee received it; it means the guide cannot be used as confirmation of an entitlement.
For collectors, the distinction is between an event’s published activities and the terms of a particular in-game promotion. A permanent tattoo, a temporary design and a title grant should not be treated as interchangeable requirements. The 2023 announcement also provides no present-day claim method or basis for assuming a later Hell’s Ink event has the same rewards.
