A Pentadot Prediction Made Before Abattoir Opened

Moxsy's November 10, 2023 Pentadot Necromancer showcase was a prelaunch assessment of a promising build, not a demonstrated Abattoir of Zir clear. The original Season of Blood activity was still scheduled for the following month.

In the primary video's description, Moxsy credits SerocIfkre and links the creator's written build. Moxsy supplied the showcase and commentary; that does not make either Moxsy or WowCarry the author of SerocIfkre's guide or a separate build planner.

Keep the November Forecast Separate from Later Requirements

The order of announcements explains what was known at the time:

November 4, 2023: the activity was announced

Blizzard's BlizzCon Campfire recap scheduled Abattoir for December 5, 2023 through January 23, 2024, recommending fully developed level-100 characters.

November 10: Moxsy discussed a possible contender

The video and Jezartroz's contemporary Wowhead highlight presented the build's Abattoir prospects before that activity opened. A prediction of best-in-slot potential should remain attributed opinion.

November 30: Blizzard detailed the trial

The official trial preview described ten-minute runs, Bloodseekers, progression through 25 tiers and the Tears of Blood glyph. These details were later information; they should not be retroactively treated as demonstrated results from the November 10 video.

December 5, 2023–January 23, 2024: the announced event window

This was a seasonal window, not a newly upcoming event. No precise launch hour is established by the announcements cited here.

Why a Large Damage Number Was Only Part of the Question

The historical concept combined damage-over-time effects with X'Fal's Corroded Signet. The ring's conditional eruption effect made the setup interesting to discuss, but neither a damage headline nor a single displayed hit establishes average damage per second.

A useful way to assess the forecast is to ask how the setup would perform during a complete timed encounter: maintaining damage, surviving incoming attacks, moving between enemies and handling the final opponents. A controlled target can help isolate a mechanic, but it cannot reproduce every condition of a full run.

That distinction does not establish that the build later failed or succeeded. It explains why an unreleased activity could not already have been cleared in the prelaunch showcase, and why a confident tier label was not a guarantee.

Jump to the Creator's Relevant Discussions

The video description supplies these chapter entry points. Use them to find Moxsy's original explanations rather than treating a summary as a complete skill or Paragon export:

The credited creator overview is now discontinued and contains later changes. For the historical ring/skill/Aspect relationships and the limits of that mutable reference, use the separate Season 2 Pentadot mechanics archive.
