The Season of Blood Launch Image Showed Eight S-Tier Builds

The October 17, 2023 endgame snapshot included three Druid builds, two Necromancer builds and three Rogue builds in S tier. The image appeared in Jezartroz’s Season 2 launch article on Wowhead, which explicitly described its scope as Patch 1.2.0.

This reference preserves the complete eight-entry image. It is useful for understanding launch-era recommendations and comparing them with the later Season of Blood evaluation.

These entries share a letter tier. Reading the labels from top to bottom does not turn them into a numbered ranking. Flurry Rapid Fire is the combined build label shown in the source, rather than two separate entries.

What Appeared in Both the Launch and November Images?

The later November 1 Patch 1.2.1 snapshot used an S+ category and displayed nine entries. Comparing the two preserved images gives three groups:

Image comparisonBuild labels
Shown in both imagesPulverize Druid; Stormclaw Druid; Werewolf Tornado Druid; Infinimist Necromancer; Twisting Blades Rogue
Shown only in the October 17 S-tier imageBone Spear Necromancer; Death Trap Rogue; Flurry Rapid Fire Rogue
Shown only in the November 1 S+ imageHotA Barbarian; Pentadot Necromancer; Arc Lash Sorcerer; Ball Lightning Sorcerer

The comparison concerns inclusion in those two images. It does not establish the later tier of an entry missing from the S+ image. In particular, absence alone cannot tell us whether a build was S, A or another grade in the full guide.

Different Categories Limit Direct Movement Claims

The source’s November announcement introduced S+ as a new category. That changed the labels used to describe the top group.

Consequently, the two images cannot support a numerical performance gain. A shared build moving from a displayed S group to a displayed S+ group does not provide a DPS percentage, a clear-time improvement or a measured gap over another build.

The narrower conclusion is still useful: the published top-group selection changed between the two dated announcements. The source images let a reader verify exactly which labels were present at each point.

Use the Launch Snapshot for Launch-Era Questions

The October image describes an early evaluation of Season 2 endgame builds. It does not provide a full skill allocation, item list or Paragon board, and it does not cover every lower-tier entry in the source’s full guide.

If you are reading an old build discussion, match it to its date and patch before comparing recommendations. An October 17 statement and a November 1 statement can both accurately describe their own snapshots while giving different answers.

For the later top group and the build-testing features added in that patch, use the linked 1.2.1 reference. For the original launch group, the eight entries and source image here provide the complete preserved snapshot.
