The Seven Builds in the Season 6 Launch Snapshot

Wowhead’s October 7, 2024 leveling announcement showed seven S-tier builds for Diablo 4 Patch 2.0.2. They spanned Necromancer, Rogue, Sorcerer and the newly playable Spiritborn. This is a reference to that launch assessment, not a ranking for the current season.

The original announcement by Jezartroz evaluated leveling choices and warned that launch tuning could move builds between tiers. Its screenshot supplies the complete S-tier selection preserved here.

All Seven S-Tier Entries, Organized by Build Name

Every row belonged to the same tier. Alphabetical order makes the names easier to find; it does not assign a first-to-seventh place within S.

Rogue, Sorcerer and Spiritborn each had two choices in the pictured selection. That gave a player who already preferred one of those classes alternatives to investigate, without needing to switch classes simply to follow the chart.

Barbarian and Druid were not shown in this S-tier image. The screenshot alone does not establish their lower-tier placements, the quality of every possible build, or a damage gap between classes.

Season 6 Leveling Used the New Level-60 Progression

Blizzard’s Vessel of Hatred launch overview separated the base-game update from expansion-only features. The new character-level maximum was 60, and the Paragon maximum was 300. Leveling advice from the earlier level-100 system therefore needed a version check before reuse.

The level and progression changes applied to the base game. Spiritborn and the Nahantu region belonged to Vessel of Hatred ownership. A player without that expansion could still use the base-game class choices pictured here; the two Spiritborn entries were not an automatic option for every account.

Why This Leveling List Was Different from an Endgame Recommendation

A leveling choice needs to function while skill points and equipment are still being acquired. An endgame setup may instead assume specific items, a developed Paragon layout or later progression. Sharing a class name does not make the two setups interchangeable.

When comparing the two Rogue entries, for example, retain the actual skill identity: Barrage and Dance of Knives are different build starting points. Use the corresponding skill allocation and equipment instructions rather than combining parts solely because both received S-tier labels.

The announcement linked Wowhead’s maintained leveling guide. That destination can change over time, so its present contents should not be read as proof of every October 2024 detail.

The Chart Records an Assessment, Not a Performance Measurement

The official 2.0 patch archive dates Build 58474 to October 7, 2024 and records subsequent fixes separately. Those notes provide the version history; they do not supply the chart’s editorial grades.

Keep the screenshot and date together when comparing old recommendations. It contains no measured leveling times, minimum gear requirements or numerical damage results, so those cannot be calculated from its tier labels.
