How to Unlock the /delighted Emote
Patch 7.45 tucked a new emote behind its Variant Dungeon. The /delighted emote (short alias /delight) is taught by an illustrated manual, Ballroom Etiquette - Saving Face, and you buy that manual rather than finding it as a drop. Head to Trisassant at the Corvosi Artifact Exchange in Old Sharlayan (X:11.9, Y:13.3) and hand over 9 Corvosi Potsherds. Using the manual once teaches the emote permanently, so it is a one-time purchase per character. Square Enix lists it among the patch rewards in the Patch 7.45 notes.
Earning Corvosi Potsherds
Corvosi Potsherds are the base currency of The Merchant's Tale, the Variant Dungeon added in 7.45. A standard run lets your party vote its way through one of 13 branching paths, 12 main routes plus a hidden one, and the Potsherds come from the treasure coffers you crack open along the way. Those coffers also cough up Magicked Prisms, Triple Triad cards, and furnishings, so a run toward the emote rarely feels wasted.
At 9 Potsherds, Ballroom Etiquette - Saving Face is one of the cheaper exchange items, so a couple of route clears will cover it. Note that Potsherds are the casual-mode currency. The dungeon's Advanced mode pays out Corvosi Brass instead, which the emote manual does not use, so there is no need to push the harder version for this one.
Using the /delighted Emote
Square Enix describes the animation as cupping your face in barely contained ecstasy. Your character brings both hands up to their cheeks in a burst of joy, which makes it a warmer, more sincere reaction than the usual /joy or /cheer. Like most recent emotes it plays from a range of poses, standing and seated included, so it slots easily into housing screenshots and group shots.
Small touches separate it from the older expression emotes: races and genders get their own animation timing, so the gesture reads a little differently from character to character. For a 9-Potsherd outlay, /delighted is an easy pickup that gives you a genuine, screenshot-ready way to show your character is having a good time.
