Can You Still Earn the Carry Book Emote?
Carry Book was a PvP Series 10 level 5 reward, and its original earning and claim windows have closed. As of October 25, 2026, current PvP Series progress does not award this old milestone.
The unlock item is Ballroom Etiquette - Erudite Idleness. The official item database confirms that using it teaches /carrybook. If the item is already on your character, you can still use it to learn the emote.
Check What You Already Have
Learning the emote, holding its item and leaving a reward unclaimed are different states. Check the character on which you earned it:
| Your character’s situation | What that means now |
|---|---|
| Carry Book is already learned | Use /carrybook or select Carry Book in the Emotes menu. |
| You claimed the reward item but never used it | Use Ballroom Etiquette - Erudite Idleness to learn the emote. |
| You reached Series 10 level 5 but left the reward unclaimed | Series 10 is outside the normal Previous Series claim window. |
| You did not earn it during Series 10 | Progress in today’s Series does not unlock the old Series 10 reward. |
The item is Untradable and Market Prohibited. Another player cannot hand you their copy or list it on the market board. The current database also lists no NPC purchase route.
Why Previous Series No Longer Shows Series 10
The Patch 7.4 rules established Series 10’s earning period: from Patch 7.4 until Patch 7.5. Eligible PvP duties awarded Series EXP toward those milestones.
At Patch 7.5, earning moved to Series 11. The Series 11 rules allowed already-earned Series 10 rewards to be claimed through PvP Profile → Series Malmstones → Previous Series, but only until Series 11 ended.
Patch 7.56 ended Series 11 and began Series 12. Its Previous Series claim period applies to Series 11. It does not extend Series 10’s deadline.
A later return would need a new reward source or announcement. Do not assume a new Series’ level 5 reward is Carry Book just because both milestones use the same level number.
What the Original Level 5 Reward Required
The original Series 10 reward reference places the emote at Series level 5 and Wanyudo Horn at Series level 25. The mount was a separate, later goal; collecting it was not required for the book emote.
Series level was progression on that reward track, rather than your character level or competitive rank. Playing only ranked Crystalline Conflict was not a requirement: Casual matches, Frontline and Rival Wings also contributed during that Series.
Use the Item to Learn the Pose
If you already claimed Ballroom Etiquette - Erudite Idleness, find it in your character’s belongings and select Use. Then enter /carrybook in chat or choose Carry Book in the Emotes menu.
If the command is unavailable, check whether you actually used the item. Merely earning the milestone or leaving the book in inventory does not teach the emote. The item’s exact name is the useful search term when checking stored belongings.
