Question 1

What is the Crux of the False Prophet in Diablo 4?

Accepted Answer

The Crux of the False Prophet is the key that opens the Hoard of Echo of Mephisto. It is spent after the kill to claim the boss loot.

Question 2

Where does the Crux of the False Prophet drop?

Accepted Answer

It drops rarely from high Torment endgame content, so most players get only a few Mephisto Hoards per week without buying extra keys.

Question 3

Can the Crux of the False Prophet be traded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Crux can be traded between players, so we deliver it by in-game trade without logging into your account.

Question 4

Is Echo of Mephisto worth farming?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Echo of Mephisto received better loot in Season 15, including a guaranteed Mythic Unique from the Hoard, which makes every Crux one of the most valuable keys in the game.

Question 5

Does every player in the group need their own Crux?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each player spends their own Crux to open the Mephisto Hoard, so a group of four needs four keys per kill to loot the boss.
