Lucky Luciano's December 2023 Rogue Unique Reference

This is a Season 2 archive of Lucky Luciano's Rogue Unique rankings, not a current-season gearing list. Jezartroz's December 29, 2023 companion announcement describes the reference in the context of Diablo 4 patch 1.2.3.

The useful destination is the creator-linked Rogue Unique Items sheet tab. It separates an item's Aspect, base and overall assessments. The workbook is editable and now opens to other seasonal material by default; the link here selects the relevant item tab rather than treating the whole workbook as an unchanged December 2023 document.

The Six Overall S-Tier Entries in the Historical Tab

The checked item tab lists these six entries as overall S. Its component grades explain why that label cannot be read as a verdict on the Unique power alone.

Rogue-compatible UniqueAspect gradeBase gradeOverall grade
Andariel's VisageDSS
Asheara's KhanjarSAS
DoombringerASS
Harlequin CrestSAS
Tibault's WillSSS
X'Fal's Corroded SignetSCS

These are the creator's qualitative grades, not numbers to average into a new score. Nor does the table say that a Rogue should equip all six at once: some occupy the same slot, and a build's skill and defense requirements still matter.

Read the Use Case Before Replacing an Item

The historical sheet associates X'Fal's with Poison setups, Asheara's with Lucky Hit/proc-based setups and Doombringer with defensive pushing. Those purposes differ even though all three receive the same overall letter.

For a practical comparison, ask what the new item replaces. Does its power support the skill you actually use? Are its other properties useful to the build? What defensive effect or customizable Aspect disappears from that slot? A favorable historical ranking cannot answer those character-specific questions by itself.

Skyhunter illustrates the component distinction: the same tab gives it an S Aspect grade, D base grade and B overall. Calling it overall S because its power scored S changes the creator's assessment. Likewise, Raiment of the Infinite is not a Rogue-equippable item and does not belong in a Rogue recommendation collage.

Why the Tibault's Will Notes Need a Date

The historical sheet mentions pairing Tibault's Will with Condemnation while a Combo Point bug was active. That is a warning about the age of the reference, not an instruction to seek the old interaction.

Blizzard's historical patch notes record the January 23, 2024 patch 1.3.0 fix for Tibault's Will increasing the Combo Point cap. The later May 14, 2024 patch 1.4.0 also changed the item's damage values. Reproducing the old sheet's tooltip numbers or bug-based advice as current would therefore be misleading.

Use the game's current item text and a maintained guide for your actual season before investing in an item. The archived grades are most useful for understanding the creator's priorities during Season of Blood.

Choose the Written Reference or the Original Commentary

Lucky's original December 15, 2023 video provides the commentary behind the project. For quick navigation to its ranked segments and the criteria used in the announcement, see the separate historical video guide.

This page serves as the item-reference companion. It preserves the three kinds of grade and the dated caveats that a generic S-to-D explanation would miss.
