Simple and Clean Hairstyle in Patch 7.35
The Simple and Clean hairstyle arrived with FFXIV Patch 7.35 on October 7, 2025. Originally submitted to the 2023 Hairstyle Design Contest, it won community approval and entered the game roughly two years after the contest closed. The semi-long layered cut features highlights through both Viera ear tips and the underside of the hair, with the layering most visible in brighter shades. It is available for all races and genders, though some race-specific shape variations exist.
Three ways to obtain it:
- Pilgrim's Traverse challenge log: Collect 99 Phials of Luminous Oil through challenge log entries in the Pilgrim's Traverse deep dungeon, then exchange them for the hairstyle item.
- Accursed Hoard appraisal: During a Pilgrim's Traverse run, pomanders can uncover hidden coffers called the Accursed Hoard. Bring those sacks to the appraiser NPC Tyr Marn at the entrance for a chance at the hairstyle from Silver, Gold, or Platinum sacks.
- Market Board: The hairstyle is freely tradable and has sold for roughly 15 to 20 million gil since release. Looking to clear the required floors faster? Deep dungeon carries can help accumulate Phials of Luminous Oil without the grind.
One known downside: the hairstyle clips against large collar pieces. For most players this is a minor trade-off given its overall appeal.
