One Week, Two Different Damage Questions
Outlaw led overall damage in this December 2023 Mythic Amirdrassil snapshot; Subtlety led damage to bosses. Anshlun’s December 26, 2023 report covers the week of December 19 in Dragonflight Season 3. These are historical results, not current class recommendations.
The saved Warcraft Logs images use the 95th percentile, all bosses, all item levels and a one-week range. Their axis reports normalized scores. The overall view and boss-only view must be read separately.

The preserved boss-damage capture has a different order. Subtlety, Assassination and Enhancement occupy its first three positions; the overall chart’s top three are Outlaw, Demonology and Subtlety.
Complete Week 6 Comparison
Overall position, source population and weekly movement are transcribed from the original table. Boss position is read from its separate graph. The movement column refers to overall positions versus Week 5, not percentage damage gains.

Population is the reported sample for the source’s overall table. It is not a count of unique raiders, and it should not be relabeled as the sample size of the separate boss-only metric.
What the Large Rank Differences Actually Tell Us
Demonology appears second overall but twenty-second in the boss-only capture. Marksmanship is fifth overall and twenty-third on bosses. Those differences demonstrate why an overall position cannot answer a question about boss damage on its own.
They do not, by themselves, establish which talent, pet, target assignment or logging behavior caused the difference. An aggregate table has no record of a particular player’s decision. That requires examining the encounter’s damage targets and spell events in an individual log.
Choose the Metric That Matches the Wipe
If a raid failed to kill a priority add, inspect damage to that add during the required window. If the boss survived a final burn, inspect boss damage, deaths and cooldown availability during that phase. Neither problem is diagnosed by choosing whichever whole-raid chart makes a specialization look strongest.
Keep difficulty and date matched as well. Mythic progression, farm kills and lower-difficulty runs can have different assignments and fight lengths. This archive is useful for understanding that week’s recorded environment, while an actual pull explains what your group needed.
