The Delver's Journey was a seasonal progression system introduced in The War Within, where players accumulated points by running Bountiful Delves — a specific subtype of delves with enhanced rewards. Standard delves contributed nothing to Delver's Journey progress. The system ran through TWW Season 1 and Season 2, and was retired when Midnight launched in March 2026.
Each of the 10 ranks required exactly 4,200 Delver's Journey points, totaling 42,000 points for a full completion. The weekly quest "The Key to Success" — picked up in Dornogal — awarded 3,000 points on turn-in, making it the single largest weekly point source. Without opening any Bountiful Coffers and running strictly Tier 8 Bountiful Delves, a player needed just under six weeks to finish. Using four Bountiful Coffers weekly (with Restored Coffer Keys from Sir Finley) cut that to just over five weeks.
Running Bountiful Delves on alts was an effective way to stack Delver's Journey points faster, since each character contributed to the same account-wide Warband progression. To check exact progress, this in-game macro returns the precise point count:

Rewards from the Season 2 Delver's Journey are purchased from two vendors at Delver's HQ in Dornogal: Reno Jackson (Gob-Trotter schematics and cosmetics) and Sir Finley Mrrgglton (Coffer Keys and gear). The schematics all cost 10 Resonance Crystals each — they are not free. Veteran gear from Sir Finley uses Undercoin, priced per slot:

📌 Common mistake: Standard delves give zero Delver's Journey points. Only Bountiful Delves count. On the world map, Bountiful Delves display a distinct icon with a golden chest. If you're running delves and seeing no Journey progress, you're likely in a standard delve.
✏️ Tier floor: Lower-tier Bountiful Delves award fewer points than Tier 8. Running Tier 4 Bountiful Delves is less efficient per time investment. Tier 8 is the practical minimum for players who care about pace.
Players who completed the Season 2 Delver's Journey can view current Delves carry options for Midnight content.
From Rank 8 onward, Sir Finley Mrrgglton sells Veteran Delve gear for Undercoin — covering every slot from cloaks to 2H weapons. Prices range from 500 Undercoin for smaller pieces to 5,000 Undercoin for two-handed weapons. This gear was particularly useful for alt characters who needed a quick ilvl boost without committing to a full Mythic+ or raid schedule.
Rank 9 unlocked a passive 50% discount on Restored Coffer Key purchases from Sir Finley, reducing the cost of farming Bountiful Coffers for players who pushed past the Rank 8 gear gate.
No — the Delver's Journey and its associated weekly quest "The Key to Success" were removed when Midnight launched in Patch 12.0.1 (March 2026). This progression system was exclusive to The War Within expansion. Any cosmetics and gear earned during TWW Seasons 1 and 2 remain in players' collections.
Bountiful Delves are a specific subtype of delve that appear on the map as enhanced versions with bonus rewards. Only Bountiful Delves contributed to Delver's Journey point accumulation — standard delves did not. Bountiful Delves also had Bountiful Coffers inside, which could be opened with Restored Coffer Keys for additional points and gear.
A Tier 8 Bountiful Delve awarded 150 Delver's Journey points per completion. Opening a Bountiful Coffer with a Restored Coffer Key added 250 points on top of the run. The weekly "The Key to Success" quest awarded 3,000 points — equivalent to 20 Tier 8 runs — making it the highest-value single activity per week.
Both NPCs are located at Delver's HQ in Dornogal. Reno Jackson sells Gob-Trotter schematics and the Delve-O-Bot 7001 for Resonance Crystals. Sir Finley Mrrgglton provides the weekly Restored Coffer Keys (free, from Rank 5) and sells Veteran Delve gear for Undercoin (from Rank 8).
The Delver's Gob-Trotter is a cosmetic mechanical suit unlocked through the Season 2 Delver's Journey. Each rank from 1 to 6 (excluding Rank 5) adds a schematic: Flamethrower, Pipes, Harpoon, Balloon, and Green. Each schematic costs 10 Resonance Crystals from Reno Jackson after the rank is reached. The full set of customizations represents the complete Season 2 Gob-Trotter appearance.
The Nightfall Sanctum Campsite is the Rank 10 reward of the Season 2 Delver's Journey — a Warband-wide cosmetic campsite themed around the Nightfall Sanctum, depicting Cultists' Quay. It is purchased from Reno Jackson for 10 Resonance Crystals after reaching Rank 10. The campsite is account-wide and persists as a cosmetic in the Warband system.
The Delve-O-Bot 7001 is a toy purchased from Reno Jackson for 10 Resonance Crystals after reaching Rank 7. It teleports the player to a random Bountiful Delve entrance and has a 1-hour cooldown. During Season 2 it was useful for quickly hopping between Bountiful Delve locations; the toy remains in collections but its teleport function has no practical use now that the Delver's Journey system is retired.
