Taivan Became a Mount Reward in Patch 10.2.6
Dragonflight’s expansion-wide achievement is called A World Awoken. It arrived with patch 10.2.6 in March 2024 and rewards Taivan through Good Boy’s Leash. Anshlun’s March 19 announcement documented the new reward and the broad range of activities behind it.
This was a collection goal spanning the Dragon Isles: raid and dungeon completions sat alongside story, faction, exploration and outdoor objectives. For the current requirements and a practical order of work, use the Taivan requirements and planning guide.
Release Week and Season 4 Were Separate Dates
Blizzard’s March 15, 2024 Blues News scheduled 10.2.6 for each region’s weekly maintenance in the week of March 19. The patch number therefore identifies the introduction period; it does not mean every region received the update at one universal March 19 clock time.
Blizzard’s March 18 weekly preview also placed Dragonflight Season 4 several weeks after 10.2.6. Treating the patch release as Season 4’s opening would merge two different milestones.
Why the Requirement List Looked So Large
A meta-achievement contains other achievements. Some of those contain another group of objectives. Flattening every level into one uninterrupted list hides that structure and makes a side objective look as though it belongs directly beside a whole raid.
| Kind of progress | How it fits the expansion meta |
|---|---|
| Raids and dungeons | The three Dragonflight raids and the original Mythic dungeon set form the instance-completion part. |
| Story and reputation | Campaigns, side stories, reputation ranks and additional Dragon Quests contribute through their own achievements. |
| Outdoor activities | Across the Isles groups faction and event objectives, with further achievements beneath it. |
| Later Dragon Isles zones | The Forbidden Reach, Zaralek Cavern and Emerald Dream each have a dedicated branch. |
| Flight and exploration | Pathfinder, race completion and glyph collection contribute through the listed exploration and racing achievements. |
For example, Flight Club sits inside Across the Isles; its individual Dragonbane Keep and whelp-daycare objectives sit farther down. A World Awoken tracks the parent branch while those child objectives explain how to finish it. Existing progress is worth inspecting at the relevant level before starting a new circuit.
What Good Boy’s Leash Actually Awards
Good Boy’s Leash teaches Taivan, a bakar ground mount. He is separate from the Dragonriding customization rewards associated with the racing branch. Completing Taivan’s personal Ohn’ahran story is also only one part of the much wider achievement route.
The original announcement is useful release history, but current collectors should follow the live A World Awoken achievement entry and its linked children. The current planning guide separates all fourteen main requirements, explains the dungeon difficulty rules and identifies recurring activities to inspect early.
