The Leader Depends on the Statistical View
Augmentation leads the 95th-percentile overall table; Unholy leads the boss-only chart and the broader overall plot. This historical Dragonflight Season 2 Week 23 report covers Mythic Aberrus during the week of October 10, 2023. Anshlun published the original October 16.

Overall position, population and weekly movement preserve the source’s typed table. Boss position is independently read from the separate 95th-percentile image. Population means the recorded source sample, not unique players. The change column counts positions gained or lost in the overall order.

Destruction and Feral each rise seven places, the largest gains. Outlaw loses six and Beast Mastery five. Demonology, Frost Mage and Frost Death Knight keep third, fourth and fifth respectively. Their unchanged positions do not establish unchanged damage.
Boss Damage Puts Unholy First and Enhancement Eighteenth
The boss-only top five are Unholy, Augmentation, Demonology, Frost Mage and Affliction. Enhancement occupies eighteenth, compared with seventh overall. Assassination is seventh on bosses and eighteenth overall; Frost Death Knight is eleventh on bosses and fifth overall.
Those are differences in target selection. They do not, by themselves, prove which talent, damage profile or player assignment caused a result. Review damage to the encounter’s relevant target before deciding what an individual log says about the problem your raid faced.
The All-Percentile Plot Also Changes the Order
The broader overall plot begins with Unholy, Augmentation and Fire. Enhancement is sixth in its displayed order, Devastation eighth and Assassination ninth. This is a separate summary from both the 95th-percentile overall table and the boss-only chart.
The overlapping distributions matter as much as a numbered position. The plots also use different horizontal-axis ranges, so their visible bar lengths cannot be compared as though they shared one scale. A percentile is not a measured ceiling for a spec or a promise about another player’s output.
Population and Augmentation Credit Need Their Own Context
Demonology’s reported population is 3,773 and Frost Death Knight’s is 1,034. Those samples do not establish that unusually skilled specialists produced their ranks. The source provides no controlled measure of player skill or a universal sample-size cutoff for reliable rankings.
Augmentation’s contribution also includes damage supplied through supported buffs. Warcraft Logs’ operator explanation of reattribution describes crediting that contribution to the Evoker. Check specific dated logging issues before treating a difference from an in-game meter as evidence of funneling.
