Dream Warden Tools: Renown 16 Weapons and Treasure Looks

The Five Tools to Buy at Renown 16

Moon Priestess Lasara sells five Dream Warden cosmetic weapon appearances at Renown 16, for 300 Dragon Isles Supplies each. You can buy the whole vendor group for 1,500 supplies, or purchase only the looks you want. Reaching the rank unlocks the purchases; it does not automatically teach every appearance.

Find Lasara, the Renown Quartermaster, at the Central Encampment in Dragonflight’s Emerald Dream. Her current inventory lists the following five tools. Their item tooltips each specify Renown 16 and character level 58.

The currency is Dragon Isles Supplies. Emerald Dewdrops and Dreamseeds are used in the zone’s public events, but they are not substitutes for these five prices.

Choose the Correct Weapon Type for Your Outfit

The rustic shape can hide the item category. Survivalist’s Shovel is a one-handed sword, not a two-handed sword, mace or profession tool. Its blade resembles a gardening spade, but the sword category governs its appearance use.

Cultivator’s Watering Can is held in the off-hand. It is not a shield, an off-hand sword or a functioning watering item for the Superbloom. Check the off-hand slot in the dressing room when planning a matching outfit.

The bow, dagger and staff also follow their own weapon appearance rules. Learning a look for your Warband does not make that weapon type usable by every class or compatible with every equipped weapon. Preview the intended character and equipment before spending supplies solely for an outfit.

The Scythe and Lightstaff Are Separate Treasure Rewards

The September 8, 2023 preview by Wowhead’s perculia showed six garden-themed models. That was a preview gallery, not the final five-item vendor shopping list. In particular, it showed Gardener’s Lightstaff rather than Elderwood Cane, and included Verdant Gleaner’s Scythe.

The current item pages list these two appearances as contained in Unwaking Echo treasures. They do not carry the vendor tools’ Renown 16 requirement. Elderwood Cane and Gardener’s Lightstaff are different items; buying the former is not a way to learn the latter.

Several treasures share the name Unwaking Echo. Use the linked source maps for the particular reward you are tracking, rather than assuming every chest with that name is the same object. These are collection objectives alongside the vendor purchases, not two more entries to buy from Lasara.

How to Open an Unwaking Echo

The chest’s interaction has a Dream-specific step. Original player reports on the Scythe’s Unwaking Echo entry, including felinae’s explanation and later live-patch replies, describe the following method:

1. Stand near the treasure and leave combat.
2. Type /sleep in chat. Wait for the dreaming version of your character to appear.
3. Interact with the chest while dreaming, staying near your sleeping body.
4. To return, cancel the Dreaming buff. Moving too far from your body or entering combat also ends the state.

You do not need the Improvised Leaf Bed toy for this interaction. The same source’s December 2023 report specifically distinguishes the emote from using that toy. These are documented player instructions, rather than a claim of a new gameplay test.

A Focused Route to the Vendor Unlock

First check your existing Dream Wardens standing. Blizzard’s Warbands documentation includes this faction among the converted Dragonflight reputations. Progress is shared across the Warband; the old launch strategy of building separate Renown tracks on alts is not the present model.

If the rank is below 16, work through unfinished Emerald Dream campaign and side quests, then check the zone’s World Quests and weekly activities. Neryssa’s launch-era reputation guide identifies Keeper Amrymn’s A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens weekly as a reputation objective. Pick it up before earning the relevant reputation, and check which rewards your Warband has already claimed.

For the Superbloom, Blizzard’s event explanation distinguishes the weekly main reward from extra rewards earned through Bloom. Follow Sprucecrown’s event and take Clarelle’s weekly quest when available. Repeating events is not the same as receiving that main weekly reward again.

The tools’ unlock comes from this faction and its vendor, rather than a raid clear or the Iskaara Community Feast. There is no need to collect all five before using one appearance. Once the rank and supplies are ready, buy the desired item and use its “Add this appearance to your Warband collection” action.

If a Look Seems to Be Missing

Check the exact name first: Survivalist’s Shovel, Verdant Gleaner’s Scythe, Gardener’s Lightstaff and Elderwood Cane are distinct names, not interchangeable labels for one six-piece set.

At the vendor, check the Renown requirement and Dragon Isles Supplies balance. In your bags, check whether the cosmetic still needs to be used. In the appearance collection or dressing room, check the weapon category and the character’s usable equipment. A treasure appearance missing from Lasara’s inventory is a source distinction, not evidence that another Renown rank unlocks it there.
