One Carried Item, Different Tactical Roles
This is a reference to the 13 consumables catalogued for Plunderstorm’s original Patch 10.2.6 release. Archimtiros’s March 19, 2024 item report distinguished these one-use items from repeatable offensive and utility abilities: players could carry one item at a time.
The descriptions below summarize the linked spell records. Later event runs can change availability and balance, so use the active event’s tooltip for live values. The most useful details are often who can benefit, what triggers the effect and whether it also threatens the user.
Movement, Concealment and Survival
Barrel Roll
Roll rapidly in a barrel, including across water. Jumping or colliding with another unit makes it explode. For an escape, look beyond your destination to the units along the route; the barrel cannot simply pass through them.

Gnomish Gravity Launcher
Place a launcher that grants an aerial movement effect to anyone stepping on it. Jump to activate, and landing on enemies can deal damage. The device is usable by other pirates, so its placement matters.
Mechano-Hog
Summon a two-seat vehicle with a speed boost and a self-destruct control. Its passenger seat gives it a different role from a purely personal movement effect.
Smoke Bomb
Create smoke at your location that grants temporary stealth to you and your allies. Its effect is concealment; plan where the group will move after using it.
Stormproof Sloop
Equip a barrier that negates the first incoming damage instance for a short period. Entering the storm changes its behavior: it provides storm-damage reduction and faster movement, stops blocking normal damage and changes the basic combo to Ferry Painful.
The Ambush
Disguise yourself as a bush, with you and your allies invisible while disguised. The basic combo becomes Bushwhack, which stuns the current target. This gives the disguise an attack function as well as concealment.
Area Effects That Require Careful Positioning
Bottled Time
Break the bottle at your feet to create a zone that accelerates spell cooldowns for all pirates. This is a shared cooldown benefit, so nearby opponents can benefit too.
Chicken Coup
Throw a crate of angry chickens that attack all nearby units. The chickens are a disruptive area effect; treating them as loyal, enemy-only pets would miss the tooltip’s targeting rule.
Keg Leg’s Cannonade
Call cannon fire onto your own position. The barrage deals damage to all targets caught inside. Decide how to leave the affected area before calling it.
Rigged Chest
Place a chest containing a bomb. Opening the chest starts the countdown; the later explosion damages nearby targets. Its trigger is the chest being opened, rather than placement alone.
Tools for Slowing and Disrupting Pursuers
Goblin Glue Rockets
Fire glue rockets in a line ahead of the caster. Enemies in the glue are heavily slowed. The effect reduces movement speed rather than guaranteeing a root.
Parrot Snacks
Summon a parrot that attempts to slow nearby enemies with its blasts. The tooltip emphasizes the movement disruption; it does not provide a large damage promise.
Strange Snowman
Summon a snowman that creates slippery ground for enemy pirates. The caster and allies are unaffected, a useful distinction from the all-target hazards above.
Choose for the Next Problem You Need to Solve
A movement item is useful when the next problem is reaching safety. Concealment or a trap suits a planned engagement, while a shared cooldown zone requires attention to which pirates are standing inside it. Check the effect’s targeting rule before replacing the item already held.
The original report also listed possible pickups and unclassified spell names, with their mechanics or availability still uncertain. Those datamining leads did not establish a verified set of extra carryable items, vending-machine purchases or hidden loot routes.
