The February 2024 Dungeon Bonus Event
Historical news: February 13, 2024. Dragonflight’s dungeon bonus event returned during Season 3 with an Emissary of War reward drawn from Amirdrassil. This notice records that event week; it is not an announcement of a currently available cache.
Jaydaa’s contemporary report described a reward for completing four Mythic dungeons: Dragonflight Mythic 0 or any keystone dungeon qualified. The reported reward was one non-tier Heroic Amirdrassil item, potentially from any of the raid’s nine bosses without requiring a previous kill.
The Heroic Label Needed a Clarification
The report specifically flagged a mismatch: Blizzard’s written event announcement said Normal Amirdrassil, while the chest showed Heroic in game. The linked Cache of Amirdrassil Treasures, item 209037, carries the Heroic label.
That distinction matters when reading old announcements: the quoted newsletter and the reported in-game reward did not agree.
Two Rewards Had Different Run Requirements
Normal and Heroic Dragonflight dungeons offered the passive final-boss loot bonus, but did not satisfy the four-Mythic quest. Mythic+ counted toward the weekly quest and was excluded from the passive bonus.

The Useful Great Vault Timing Tip
Players also choosing a Great Vault reward could open the event cache first, then compare its result with their available Vault choices before claiming one. This helped inform the selection; it did not guarantee a different cache item or remove the possibility of overlapping rewards.
