Start With Your Warband’s Progress and Your Reward Goal
Loamm Niffen reputation is shared across your Warband. Check the existing Renown bar before beginning the Zaralek Cavern introduction on another character. You may already have the reputation needed for the collectible you want.
Blizzard’s Warbands explanation explicitly includes Loamm Niffen among the converted reputations. Shared progress applies within one Battle.net region. Repeating a story quest on several alts is not a reliable way to multiply first-completion Warband reputation.
For collectors, the important distinction is between Renown unlocks, Ponzo’s bartering, and Glimmerogg snail racing. They lead to different rewards. The old Season 2 equipment rewards are historical gear, not a reason to choose this reputation for current endgame progression.
Choose a Renown Milestone Worth Finishing
The track has 20 Renown ranks, with 2,500 reputation per rank. Neryssa’s original Renown reward reference documents the following collector milestones. Unlocking a vendor item does not necessarily purchase it for you.

For Morsel Sniffer: reach Renown 18, then visit Harlowe Marl in the main Loamm building, around 56.5, 55.6 in Zaralek Cavern. The mount’s current item entry lists the Renown requirement and a price of 800 Dragon Isles Supplies. Keep those supplies available rather than assuming the mount arrives automatically when the rank changes.
During Dragonflight Timewalking, Check Xydan First
There is now a badge-funded route as well as outdoor activities. Commendation of the Loamm Niffen, added in 12.0.7, binds to your Warband and grants 300 reputation for 50 Timewarped Badges. Its vendor is Xydan in Valdrakken.
Blizzard’s Dragonflight Timewalking announcement places Xydan in the Bronze Enclave. Check the in-game calendar for the next Dragonflight Timewalking week; the June–August 2026 Turbulent Timeways dates in that announcement are a past event, not a permanent vendor schedule.
If you already have badges and want to finish a specific Renown reward, compare that purchase with saving badges for another collectible. There is no need to repeat outdoor tasks solely to spend time in the zone. Blizzard also specifies a 50% bonus to eligible reputation from quests and creature kills during the corresponding expansion’s Timewalking event; do not assume that wording makes every consumable token worth 50% more.
Unlock the Outdoor Route Through the Campaign
For a fresh Warband, follow the Embers of Neltharion campaign into Zaralek Cavern and meet the niffen in Loamm. Blizzard’s Zaralek zone preview introduces Loamm as the faction hub. The opening chapter, including Smells Like Loamm and Six Hundred Feet Under, establishes access to its main activities.
If the world map looks empty or Myrrit has no dig available, check this campaign progress before traveling between vendors. The 10.1 content notes explain that most Zaralek world quests and public objectives open after the Chapter 1 introduction to Loamm, and that Myrrit’s digs become available during the early campaign.
A Practical Weekly Visit to Loamm
Start at Mimuup and check A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen. This is a weekly quest built around earning 1,500 reputation, with a 500-reputation completion reward. Its target is a quest objective, not a cap on all reputation you can earn that week. Take it before your activities so its tracker is available while you play.
Then choose the activities that fit the time you have:
- Short solo visit: do available reputation-rewarding world quests and public objectives nearby. Read each reward tooltip; a reputation item in a bag may need to be used.
- Puzzle session: visit Myrrit for Sniffenseeking. Blizzard allows up to three digs per week, but that does not mean three free maps appear automatically.
- Group event: check Researchers Under Fire at the Ruins of Drekazera. Its event cycle starts at the half-hour; the reward depends on completed objectives, so arriving before the opening tasks is more useful than joining at the final turn-in.
Neryssa’s Zaralek activity guide details the dig supply: one free weekly dig, a Lost Dig Map from the Worthy Ally reward, and a Bartered Dig Map from Ponzo. A completed dig’s reward bag includes 250 reputation. Check Myrrit’s remaining-map indication before buying or searching for another map.
The same reference explains that Researchers Under Fire has several reward tiers. A basic Researcher’s Gift contains 250 reputation; stronger objective completion produces a different gift. This is not a guarantee of unlimited full-value reputation from repeating every hourly event.
Boulder Hauler and Big Slick Follow Different Routes
Boulder Hauler is Ponzo’s bartering mount. Work on the Renown 3 bartering introduction and obtain the Bricks or Boulders requested by his current offer. Kayann’s material turn-ins support that bartering route; they are weekly assignments, not an unlimited daily reputation loop. Do not spend your bartering currency on incidental purchases if this mount is your goal.
Big Slick in the City comes from Glimmerogg Racer. Blizzard’s official collectible catalogue specifies rank 5 with that separate reputation, followed by Briggul’s Snailed It quest. It is not a Sniffenseeking reward or an automatic Loamm Renown mount. Glimmerogg Racer was also specifically excluded from the Dragonflight Warband reputation conversion.
For a focused collection plan, finish the Renown rank needed for Harlowe Marl’s reward, save the required vendor currency, and pursue Ponzo or Briggul only if you also want their mount. That keeps three different progress systems from turning into one confusing farming route.
