Requirements and Where to Start
The only real gate on this content was level 70. It could be done on any race, Alliance or Horde, with no reputation standing with the Exodar required. The questline was part of the Patch 10.1.7 "Fury Incarnate" campaign, and it opened the door to the Man'ari Eredar skin colors, hair, eyes, and fel-fire scars for Draenei characters.
The opening quest, Prophecy Stirs, was picked up near Stormwind Keep on Alliance or at The Barracks in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar on Horde. From there a Teleportation Crystal carried you up to the Vindicaar at Argus to meet Prophet Velen.
Prophecy Stirs and Uncertainty
Aboard the Vindicaar, Velen explains that he has been troubled by scattered visions of yellow and red, and that Chieftain Hatuun has asked to meet with him. Velen hopes it means Hatuun and his krokul have reconsidered rejoining the Draenei after their long work reclaiming Argus from the Legion.
Grand Artificer Romuul locks the beacon and transports you down to Hatuun's camp. The reunion is cold. Hatuun has no interest in pleasantries and reveals that he has made an ally who wishes to speak with Velen. That ally steps forward as Arzal'kal, a Man'ari Eredar, and Velen immediately shackles him, assuming a Legion trap.
Opening Wounds and Arzal'kal's Confession
Rather than condemn Arzal'kal outright, Velen chooses to hear him out and sends you to assist while he speaks privately with Hatuun. Arzal'kal's confession is the heart of the story. He admits he believed Kil'jaeden and Archimonde's promises of prosperity, and that when the Legion demanded its price, he paid it out of fear.
He describes how Kil'jaeden could invade the mind, how any doubt read as betrayal, and how betrayal meant death. He feared death more than the weight of his own sin, and only later did some of the Man'ari flee. Now he wants to prove he is no longer a coward, even knowing he cannot undo what he did.
Contrition, Severing Ties, and Proof and Promise
The next quests, Contrition and Severing Ties, send you alongside Arzal'kal to recover something from his old Man'ari allies while cutting down those still loyal to the Legion. His former associate, Speaker Nalridun, cannot be talked down, and the confrontation ends with Nalridun realizing too late that he only ever heard what he wanted to hear.

Scavenged Artifacts and the Seeing Red Reward
The final quest, Scavenged Artifacts, closes the story. Velen recognizes the Brilliant Star as a shard of the Ata'mal crystal, lost to him on Draenor and long thought gone. Arzal'kal explains the path it took through orc hands and back to the Legion before he risked everything to reclaim it. Velen stops short of granting forgiveness, but he offers a way forward, and Arzal'kal asks to be called simply Arzaal, the name he carried before he fell.
