Today, we are excited to delve into the new changes and fixes that have been implemented in the game through the most recent hotfixes, which took effect on May 2, 2024. These changes address various issues within classes, dungeons, raids, items, and non-player character interactions, aiming to enhance gameplay and resolve existing bugs. Let's break down these updates to understand their impact on your in-game experience better.

Class Updates and Fixes

Druid Class - Feral Spec

Druids can now rejoice as the Feral specialization has received an essential fix. Previously, players encountered a frustrating bug where the set bonus "Smoldering Frenzy" from Season 4 (2) Set failed to trigger effects like "Seal of Diurna’s Chosen". This issue has now been resolved, allowing the special abilities to operate as intended, ensuring that Feral Druids can leverage their full potential in combat scenarios.

Dungeon and Raid Adjustments

Algeth’ar Academy - Echo of Doragosa

Significant changes have been made to the Echo of Doragosa encounter in the Algeth’ar Academy. The frequency of "Arcane Rift", which subsequently spawns "Uncontrolled Energy," has been reduced by 20%. Additionally, "Overwhelming Power" now requires four stacks to spawn "Arcane Rift", increased from the previous three. These adjustments aim to balance the difficulty and improve the player experience during this encounter.

The Nokhud Offensive - Visual Improvements

Visual issues in The Nokhud Offensive have also been addressed. Players had reported that visuals for "Static Spear" and "Crackling Upheaval" could sometimes disappear under certain conditions. This fix ensures that these visual cues remain consistent, aiding players in strategizing and reacting appropriately throughout the encounter.

Item Fixes and Enhancements

Item Problem Solution
Eye of Awakening Did not function on rings from Antique Bronze Bullion vendors. Fixed, with eligibility for socket upgrades now retroactive.
Tiered Medallion Setting Did not function on necklaces from Antique Bronze Bullion vendors. Fixed, with eligibility for socket upgrades now retroactive.

The enhancements to rings and necklaces, along with the fixes to the "Eye of Awakening" and "Tiered Medallion Setting," ensure that all related items purchased from Bullion vendors are now upgradable and eligible for socket enhancements, with these changes being applied retroactively.

Non-Player Character (NPC) Updates

Vaskarn, found in the Emerald Dream and Valdrakken, no longer incorrectly states that gear upgrades can be done using Flightstones in the Emerald Dream. This change does not affect his dialogue in Valdrakken.

New Quest Features

With an update to the Time Rifts, a "Cache of Embers" will be awarded once per character each week following the defeat of a Time Rift Boss, thanks to the newly empowered state of these rifts.

Character Enhancements

Prince Farondis, a favorite among players, is now stronger, thanks to his "Conjured Protein Shakes." His newfound strength allows players to complete the challenging quest "Save Yourself" more efficiently.

Conclusion

This round of updates and fixes by Blizzard as described highlights their ongoing commitment to improving player experience through meticulous attention to gameplay details.
