Event Timing and Locations
The updated Radiant Echoes event is taking place from July 30 to August 26. Players will find themselves traveling to hubs and battle zones including Dalaran (hub), Dragonblight, Dustwallow Marsh, and Searing Gorge. Dalaran serves as the central hub from where adventurers can teleport to the various event zones.
Participation and Currency
The event is open to players ranging from levels 10 to 70. Whether you own the 'The War Within™' expansion or not, you are welcomed to participate. Throughout the event, players will collect Residual Memories, a special currency represented as iridescent powder reflecting half-forgotten memories, used to procure new items from event-specific vendors.
Event Mechanics
Event Stages and Confrontation
The pre-patch event is structured around two primary stages, cycling every hour between three designated zones. Players begin by receiving an introductory quest. Those at level 70 start their journey in Dalaran, while those below this level are directly teleported there.
Stage 1: Participants confront the radiant echoes causing chaos in the zone. Events show up on the map, marked by a colorful globe. Defeating enough echoes summons a zone boss.
Stage 2: Upon entering each zone, a quest tasks players with defeating the zone-specific boss:
Only Darkness: Defeat Remembered Lich King in Dragonblight.
Broken Masquerade: Defeat Remembered Onyxia in Dustwallow Marsh.
Champion of the Waterlords: Defeat Remembered Firelord in Searing Gorge.
Note: After a boss is defeated, the event reverts to Stage 1, respawning new echoes to confront. Bosses sometimes drop rare gear items.
Rewards and Merchandise
Players accumulate Residual Memories to exchange for diverse items across different zones. Each zone features vendor-specific items:
| Location | Vendor |
| Dalaran | Remembrancer Amuul in Chamber of the Guardian |
| Dragonblight | Echo of the Silver Hand at Wyrmrest Temple |
| Dustwallow Marsh | Forgotten Hero at Tabetha’s Farm |
| Searing Gorge | Memory of a Duke in the Iron Summit |
The highlight of the event is the Lifeless Stone Ring, which players can infuse with collected essences transforming it into the Band of Radiant Echoes (item level 227) heirloom ring. This transformation symbolizes the recovery of historical artifacts from Azeroth’s lore-drenched battlegrounds.
