WoW War Within Mythic+ Hotfixes: Siege of Boralus & Grim Batol

Siege of Boralus Balance Changes

A War Within hotfix wave targeted Siege of Boralus across multiple enemy types to reduce pull durations and sustained damage output:

• Iron Tide Raider health reduced by 15%.
• Bilge Rat Buccaneer health reduced by 10%.
• Irontide Waveshaper health reduced by 20%.
• Ashvane Sniper health reduced by 10%; Scrimshaw Enforcer health reduced by 20%.
• Bilge Rat Tempest now casts Choking Waters more slowly, giving players additional reaction time.
• Iron Tide Raider's Iron Hook has an increased cooldown and a reduced maximum range.
• Bilge Rat Demolisher health reduced by 10%; armor-ignoring Crushing Slam damage cut by 40%.

Dread Captain Lockwood and Hadal Darkfathom received improved player-facing visual cues. Hadal's health was also reduced by 5%.

Grim Batol Adjustments

Grim Batol received ability and tuning changes across several packs:

• Twilight Warlock's Enveloping Shadowflame now affects only one player at a time.
• Mutated Hatchling and Faceless Corruptor abilities were recalibrated for better damage control and cast timing.
• Twilight Destroyer's Twilight Ember no longer deals instant damage when a player enters its area.
• Erudax received visual and ability tweaks to improve clarity and player reaction windows.

With those Grim Batol encounter updates shipped, the hotfix pass also covered two more Season 1 instances.

Mists of Tirna Scithe and The Stonevault

In Mists of Tirna Scithe, the Mistcaller encounter now shows improved visual cues for Freeze Tag, and the Patty Cake ability received extended range. In The Stonevault, Void Bound Howlers now reset health when combat drops, and Master Machinists had ability timing adjusted.

Dungeon Finder UI Update

The Dungeon Finder received a quality-of-life improvement: Siege of Boralus now automatically displays the Mythic+ key level in the instance browser, removing a common setup friction point for groups forming keys.

Players running War Within keys can compare Mythic+ dungeon carry packages for Midnight-season progression or legacy runs.
