Where to Find the Puzzle Items
The Reins of the Void-Scarred Gryphon drops from a rare creature summoned inside the Revisited Horrific Vision of Stormwind by completing a randomised food puzzle. Because the solution changes every run, bring all eight possible food items in your bags before entering; you will not have time to leave and restock mid-vision.
The puzzle elements are in Stormwind's Trade District, behind Inquisitor Darkspeak. Two key items appear there: a Claw Marked Bowl near a ramp and two Ripped Notes. The first note sits atop the ramp to the flight master; the second rests near the wall to the right before reaching the Inquisitor. Both notes only appear when you enter the Vision with at least two Faceless Masks equipped; entering with fewer masks means the puzzle will not trigger.
Reading the Gryphon's Preferences
The first Ripped Note names the food category the gryphon wants: fish, fungus, spiced meat, or steak. The second note specifies whether that food must be raw or cooked. Cross-referencing both notes points to one correct item from the eight combinations below.

Placing the wrong item spawns Frenzied Rats and resets the puzzle for that vision run. Confirm both notes before interacting with the bowl.
Summoning and Defeating the Gryphon
Once the correct dish is placed in the bowl, interact with it to make noise — this call summons the Void-Scarred Gryphon as a rare spawn. Defeat the creature to have a chance at looting the Reins. Note that only one player per group can loot the mount per run, so groups should discuss whose attempt takes priority before entering. The puzzle resets each run, so anyone who does not win the roll can try again on the next Vision.
