Waycrest Manor: All Doors Opened for Free Routing
In the Patch 10.2 Mythic+ build of Waycrest Manor, Blizzard opened every interior door. Previously, players followed a predetermined route through the manor's wings. With every door unlocked, groups could choose their own path through the dungeon based on composition, key affixes, and how many mobs they needed for percent β an unusual amount of routing flexibility for a structured dungeon layout.
Atal'Dazar: Snapping Remained Viable With an Evade Window
Atal'Dazar's snapping mechanic (pulling mobs to a fixed snap point to reset aggro quickly) carried over from its Battle for Azeroth version. In the 10.2 build, Blizzard added a brief evade window before mobs snapped to the player's position, slowing pulls but not invalidating the technique. Three snap locations remained active:
- Edge Snap with Saurids: Positioning on a ledge where mobs couldn't reach in melee caused them to snap after a short delay.
- Spawn Snap: Snapping at mob spawn positions became harder, with mobs pathing faster and requiring tighter timing.
- Side Snap Outside Fences: Positioning outside fence lines triggered the snap after the evade window expired.
Experienced groups absorbed the timing change quickly; the snap spots remained a significant time save over straight-pull approaches.
Vol'kaal Trash: One Reanimated Honor Guard Removed
The trash pack directly after Vol'kaal had been overtuned in the Battle for Azeroth original β so badly that players skipped it rather than engage. A True Sight Void Emissary added in BfA Season 3 made the encounter even more demanding. For the 10.2 M+ version, Blizzard removed one Reanimated Honor Guard from the pack, which brought the fight in line with comparable trash encounters elsewhere in the dungeon.
Groups learning Atal'Dazar key routing can book a Mythic+ carry to practice snap positioning alongside experienced players.
