The War Within Season 1 centered on Nerub'ar Palace, a Nerubian stronghold featuring eight bosses culminating in a fight against Queen Ansurek — the expansion's primary antagonist. Every class received a unique tier set themed around the Nerubian aesthetic.
The Rogue Season 1 tier set was named K'areshi Phantom's Bindings. The set drew inspiration from the enigmatic Ethereals: armor pieces connected by cloth wrappings and bandages, with a distinctive obscured glowing face on the helm. Each difficulty variant featured a different color palette:
Each recolor required clearing Nerub'ar Palace on the corresponding difficulty.
K'areshi Phantom's Bindings dropped from Nerub'ar Palace bosses across all four difficulties. The eight bosses in order were: Ulgrax the Devourer, The Bloodbound Horror, Sikran, Rasha'nan, Broodtwister Ovi'nax, Nexus-Princess Ky'veza, The Silken Court, and Queen Ansurek. Collecting all set pieces and activating two-piece and four-piece bonuses required clears at Normal difficulty or above.
