A First Look at Goblin City
In mid-January 2025, Patch 11.1 titled Undermine(d) arrived on the Public Test Realm (PTR), giving players a first look at the goblin city of Undermine. Known for their technological prowess, the goblins had built a city that showcased their culture and politics, with the update hinting at deeper narratives involving Xal'atath. Developers David Hollings (Game Designer, Battleground and Arenas), Mark Kelada (Assistant Lead Quest Designer), and Bethany Hudson (Community Manager) joined WoWCast to walk through what players could expect at launch.

Turbulent Timeways and the Coward's Azure Target
Turbulent Timeways II
The Turbulent Timeways II event ran from January 7 through February 25, 2025, cycling through seven past expansions in a non-chronological rotation: Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, Classic, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm. Each week featured scaled Timewalking dungeons from that expansion's pool. Completing runs across at least five of the seven weeks earned the Timely Buzzbee mount. The Sandy Shalewing was also available from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges β re-added in Patch 11.0.7 for players who missed the original event. Players who needed help clearing weekly Timewalking sets could run Timewalking event dungeons with carries.
Twitch Drop: Coward's Azure Target
A Twitch Drop campaign ran from January 14 to February 4, 2025, awarding the Coward's Azure Target (a back-slot transmog) to viewers who watched four hours of WoW content on a qualifying Twitch channel. The drop launched alongside Plunderstorm Season 2, Blizzard's returning battle-royale limited event. Players who missed the campaign window cannot claim this transmog through normal channels.
Recap: Early January 2025
