The January 2 Snapshot: Two Rogue Specs at the Top
Subtlety and Outlaw occupy the first two places in this historical Mythic Amirdrassil overall-damage view. Anshlun’s January 9, 2024 report covers the week of January 2 in Dragonflight Season 3.
The 95th-percentile capture selects all bosses, all item levels and one week. It ranks normalized scores, while the source table supplies the populations and movement values below.

The source’s typed position cell is blank for Augmentation; its final placement is visible in the saved chart. Population is the source’s reported sample, not a number of unique players.
The High-End View Answers a Specific Question
The 95th-percentile graph shows the high end of recorded performance under the selected filters. It does not isolate player skill from equipment, fight length, target assignments or external support.
A percentile result is a point in an observed distribution. It is not the average damage of the best five percent, nor a theoretical maximum that every player can achieve by changing specialization.
The Broader Distribution Gives Another Perspective
The report also preserves an all-percentiles plot. Its first three displayed rows are Demonology, Subtlety and Outlaw, compared with Subtlety, Outlaw and Demonology in the high-end bar chart.
The visible spreads overlap across many specializations. A single high-end ordering therefore leaves out variation within each recorded group. The two images also use different horizontal ranges; compare their labels and distributions rather than treating equal on-screen bar lengths as equal damage.
Keep the January Patch Boundary Intact
This report was published before Seeds of Renewal. Blizzard’s January 2 announcement scheduled that update for January 16. Changes from that later release cannot explain the earlier Week 8 snapshot.
