Twenty-One Specs Keep Their Positions
Unholy, Augmentation and Frost Death Knight retain the top three places. The first sixteen positions are unchanged in this historical Dragonflight Season 2 Week 19 report. It covers Mythic Aberrus during the week of September 12, 2023, from Anshlun’s September 19 publication.
The source’s overall and boss images select two weeks, despite the weekly framing of the article. Both are labeled accordingly here. They also select Mythic, the 95th percentile, all bosses, all item levels, the 10.1.7 partition and normalized scores.

The Five Changes Are Below the Top Sixteen
Outlaw gains four places to seventeenth. Destruction and Fury each lose two, to nineteenth and twenty-first. Retribution rises one place to twenty-third as Subtlety drops one to twenty-fourth. Every other specialization keeps its previous position.
That is an ordering comparison, not a finding that twenty-one specs dealt identical damage across both dates. A spec can hold the same rank while its score changes. Likewise, a four-place gain does not identify how much extra damage, if any, a particular player dealt.
The Boss-Only Top Five Differ
The two-week boss-damage image begins with Unholy, Augmentation, Demonology, Affliction and Frost Mage. Frost Death Knight is eighth. Both top-three Death Knight positions in the overall table therefore should not be copied into the boss-only results.
Assassination is sixth in the boss image and thirteenth overall. Windwalker is twenty-first on bosses and sixteenth overall. Those differences show why selecting a damage target is part of the comparison, rather than a cosmetic filter.
How to Compare the September Snapshots
Our Week 18 report preserves the preceding table and its own two-week images. Check each capture’s window before comparing populations. The published numbers alone do not establish a change in unique players, and the source does not provide a controlled explanation for differences in sample size.
For performance analysis, match the encounter, difficulty, patch and target selection, then inspect gear, cooldown timing, deaths and assignments in the relevant logs. The aggregate helps identify what to investigate; it cannot establish which of those factors caused a weekly movement.
