The Trading Post is a monthly cosmetic reward system introduced in Patch 10.0.5 (February 1, 2023) during the Dragonflight era. Each month a new selection of mounts, pets, transmog appearances, and toys rotates into stock. Players spend Trader's Tender, the dedicated Trading Post currency, to buy whatever catches their eye.
Every reward purchased through the Trading Post is account-wide. Unlock a mount on one character and every character on your account can use it without paying again.
There are three Trading Post locations across Azeroth:
The Dornogal location arrived with the subsequent expansion and remains the go-to stop for players questing on the Isle of Dorn. All three locations sell the same monthly inventory.
Each calendar month provides two Trader's Tender income streams, capping at 1,000 Tender per month across both:
Both income streams are account-wide. You can play on any character to contribute Traveler's Log progress. New players visiting the Trading Post for the first time also receive a one-time bonus of 500 Trader's Tender: enough to buy most mid-range items immediately.
✏️ Tip: Unspent Tender carries over month-to-month with no expiry. If a mount costs 900 Tender and you've only accumulated 600, simply bank 400 from next month's income and purchase it then. There's no pressure to spend every month.
The Traveler's Log spans a large number of activity types: raids, Mythic+ dungeons, pet battles, professions, PvP, quests, dungeons, and even emoting. Because progress is account-wide, a low-level alt contributing to pet battles or profession crafts feeds the same monthly bar as your main character's Mythic+ runs.
A few content rules are worth knowing:
📌 Note: The Traveler's Log refreshes completely each month. Progress, remaining rewards, and available activities all reset. Plan accordingly if you're close to completing the bar.
The Traveler's Log uses a point bar that fills as you complete that month's listed activities. Reaching 100% (1,000 points) earns a bonus cosmetic reward on top of the Tender you accumulate along the way. This completion reward has included mounts, battle pets, and exclusive transmog appearances depending on the month.
The bonus cosmetic is separate from the Tender income. You don't spend Tender to get it. Finishing the bar is the unlock condition. Because many of these completion rewards have been mounts or highly desirable cosmetics, players who push to 100% before the month ends often find it well worth the effort across a variety of activity types.
Monthly inventory at the Trading Post covers a price range from roughly 75 Tender for minor transmog pieces up to 900 Tender for the most sought-after mounts. Most items fall somewhere between 200 and 650 Tender. A few strategies help stretch your budget:
As an example of the items available during the Dragonflight era: the Tiercel's Wing (item #190214) appeared in May 2023, priced at 200 Tender. It was a 1-Hand Warglaive cosmetic, a relatively affordable pick for players who wanted a melee transmog for the month.

The Trading Post launched with Patch 10.0.5 on February 1, 2023, during the Dragonflight expansion. It has run every month since launch and remains active in the current expansion, Midnight.
Two sources, up to 1,000 Tender per month. First, interact with the Collector's Cache at your faction's Trading Post to claim 500 free Tender. This resets monthly and must be collected manually. Second, complete Traveler's Log activities to earn up to another 500 Tender along the monthly progress track.
No. Trader's Tender carries over month-to-month indefinitely. If you don't spend everything in a given month, the balance rolls into the next month. There is no expiry date on accumulated Tender.
Each month you can freeze one item from the active rotation. A frozen item stays available in your Trading Post until you purchase it, regardless of how many monthly rotations pass. You can only have one item frozen at a time, and unfreezing to freeze a different item releases the original back to the rotation pool.
Three locations: Alliance players visit the T&W Trading Post in Stormwind's Mage District (NPC: Tawny Seabraid); Horde players visit the Zen'shiri Trading Post in Orgrimmar's Valley of Strength (NPC: Zen'kala); and a neutral location is available at The Foregrounds in Dornogal, Isle of Dorn (NPC: Andee Seabraid), added in Patch 11.0, August 2024.

Progress is account-wide and resets at the start of each new month.
