As we eagerly anticipate the future of Sanctuary, we have gathered all the known information about upcoming updates for Diablo 4. Join us as we delve into the exciting developments that await us in the coming months and beyond.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred: Everything We Know So Far

In January 2024, one of the most anticipated updates for Diablo 4 will be introduced: Season 3 - The Gauntlet. The Gauntlet is a fixed seed, non-linear dungeon that offers a unique challenge. Monsters and their positions, layout, and affixes remain the same, ensuring a consistent gameplay experience. Compete against other players and climb the leaderboards by achieving the highest scores within a time limit. Proofs of Might, special pick-ups, can be obtained from monsters and chests to increase your score. Each week, a new Gauntlet will replace the current one, and the leaderboards will reset. The leaderboard will feature the top players in various brackets, including Solo Barbarian, Solo Druid, Solo Necromancer, Solo Rogue, Solo Sorcerer, 2 Player Party, 3 Player Party, and 4 Player Party.

In addition, the Hall of the Ancients, a permanent leaderboard, will immortalize the top 10 players from each week in every season. To learn more about The Gauntlet and leaderboards, check out our in-depth article: Diablo 4 The Gauntlet and Leaderboards Explained.

  • Additional Endgame Content

Season 3 will bring additional endgame content to Diablo 4. While Blizzard has not provided specific details yet, more information will be revealed before the season launch.

  • Helltide Changes

Helltide, a battle event in Diablo 4, is undergoing some changes in Season 3. Helltide will now last for 55 minutes every hour, with only 5 minutes of downtime between each Helltide session.

Moreover, Blizzard is working on introducing new reliable item power sources at item power 925. These sources, other than Uber Duriel, will be added in Season 3. Stay tuned for more details regarding these sources.

  • Gold Input Option for Trading on Consoles

For console players, a gold input option for trading will be available in Season 3. This feature aims to enhance the trading experience on consoles. Look forward to its release alongside Season 3.

Later in 2024, an expansion named "Vessel of Hatred" will expand the story of Diablo 4. This paid expansion will continue the story from where Diablo 4 left off and introduce a new region called Nahantu. Explore new and familiar places, such as Travincal and the docks of Kurast. Furthermore, the expansion will introduce a never-before-seen class in the Diablo universe, promising a fresh and thrilling gameplay experience. • More Permanent Endgame Content: The developers are actively working on expanding the endgame content available for players at various stages of progression. Expect more content after entering World Tier 4, as well as pinnacle endgame challenges.
  • Loadouts: Loadouts similar to the Armory in Diablo 3 are in development for Diablo 4. These loadouts will allow players to save and switch between different builds. However, the implementation timeline for this feature is yet to be determined.
  • Loot Filter: Blizzard is aware of the demand for a loot filter in Diablo 4. While the developers are making progress towards implementing this feature, they are exploring various options to ensure it is nuanced and sophisticated. Stay tuned for further updates.
  • Social Features: The Diablo 4 team is actively working on social features, such as a group finder, to enhance player interaction. Blizzard aims to implement as many of these tools as possible before the release of the "Vessel of Hatred" expansion in late 2024.
