General Enhancements for Diablo 4 in Season 2

October 07, 2023 3 minutes

Hey there, fellow Diablo 4 enthusiasts! It's WowCarry here, and boy do I have some exciting news for you. In the recent Season of Blood Developer Update Livestream, the team behind Diablo 4 unveiled a treasure trove of new quality-of-life improvements and general enhancements coming to Season 2. So, let's dive right in and explore what's in store for us!

Experience Gains and Enchantment Costs

One of the most significant changes in Season 2 revolves around experience gains. The developers have incorporated several improvements to make leveling up a more enjoyable experience. For starters, the usage of Scrolls of Escape will now be automatic whenever a Hardcore character gets disconnected from the game. This handy feature ensures that the gameplay isn't interrupted unnecessarily due to technical glitches.

Moreover, various experience bonuses will now be combined to maximize your leveling potential. Incense grants an experience bonus that persists even after death, while Season Blessings, Elixirs, and Incense bonuses will all be multiplicative with the World Tier bonus. This means that you can stack these bonuses to skyrocket your experience gains. Additionally, the monsters in World Tiers III and IV will now scale correctly with player level, providing a fair and challenging gameplay experience.

Thanks to these fantastic experience changes, the developers estimate that players will be able to reach level 100 a staggering 40% faster than in Season of the Malignant. Talk about leveling up at lightning speed!

Account-Wide Renown Rewards and Additional Waypoints

As if the experience improvements weren't exciting enough, Season 2 also brings some notable enhancements to Renown rewards. From now on, all Renown rewards will be account-wide within the same game mode. This means that any Renown rewards you have unlocked previously will be automatically available for every new character you create. It's a great way to reward your progress and make starting fresh more enticing.

Furthermore, each new Season will automatically unlock additional Waypoints. This change will make it easier for new characters to navigate the vast world of Diablo 4 without the hassle of manually unlocking Waypoints. With these improvements, you can focus more on the action and less on the tedium of traversing the game world.

But wait, there's more! After Season of the Malignant concludes, Diablo 4 will offer players two additional character slots. These slots serve as a retirement home for your beloved retired characters on the Eternal Realm. Now you can preserve your hard-earned progress and relive the glory days whenever you desire.

What's Next?

The general improvements discussed here are just the tip of the iceberg. There are undoubtedly more exciting changes coming to Diablo 4 in Season of Blood. But we want to hear from you.
