Hey there! It's WowCarry, and I'm here to give you the lowdown on the latest update for Diablo 4. Patch 1.3.0 is shaking things up for the Necromancer class, with some exciting changes and buffs for their minions. Let's dive right in and see what's in store!

Overview of Patch 1.3.0

In this update, the developers at Blizzard are focused on making sure that investing fully in a skill as a player pays off in a big way. They have introduced several unique and legendary items that target skills that have yet to reach their full potential. Excitingly, the Unique items for Barbarian's Rend, Druid's Lightning Storm, and Sorcerer's Meteor are just the beginning of what's to come. Additionally, the developers have addressed some pressing issues for each Class, ensuring that players have more build opportunities.

Necromancer Improvements

The Necromancer class has received a number of updates and changes in this patch. Here are the highlights:

  • Skills

  • Damage increased from 0.2 to 0.3.
  • Bonus damage increased from 20% to 30%.
  • Lucky Hit Chance reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Base damage increased from 50% to 70%.
  • Damage decreased from 110% to 95%.
  • Damage over time increased from 80% to 95%.
  • Initial damage increased from 66% to 75%.
  • Return damage increased from 21% to 25%.

  • Minion Changes

In this update, Minions have received some much-needed attention. Now, when you and your Minions cast Acolyte's Decompose, you deal 10% increased damage to enemies being Decomposed. Moreover, every 1.5 seconds, Decompose makes enemies Vulnerable for 4 seconds, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks.

  • Bone Prison Changes

One notable change is that friendly players and Minions can now freely pass through the Bone Prison walls, making movement and positioning easier. Additionally, enemies trapped inside Bone Prison are now Vulnerable, making them more susceptible to your devastating attacks. Moreover, each enemy trapped by Bone Prison reduces your active cooldowns by 0.5 seconds, up to a maximum of 3 seconds.

  • Passives

A few passive skills have also been updated, such as Ossified Essence, which now displays its current bonus on the tooltip. This makes it easier for players to keep track of its effects and plan their strategy accordingly.

  • Golem Changes

The Book of the Dead Golem has also received some improvements. Now, when Golems finish casting their active ability, they will target a new close enemy before reverting to their previous target. This ensures that they are always engaging with the most threatening foes.

Item Updates

Of course, what's a patch without some exciting item updates? Here are some changes to keep an eye out for:

  • Aspect of Swelling Curse Changes

Aspect of Swelling Curse now has an increased Critical Strike Chance of 15–25% for Bone Spirit. On top of that, your Maximum Essence is increased by 2 for each enemy hit for a duration of 15 seconds. This allows you to unleash even more devastating attacks with your minions.

  • Torturous Aspect Changes

Torturous Aspect has received some exciting changes. Now, enemies afflicted by your Iron Maiden have a chance to be stunned for 1 second when they deal direct damage. This adds an extra layer of crowd control to your arsenal, allowing you to control the battlefield more effectively.

Bug Fixes

No update is complete without some bug fixes. Here are the issues that have been addressed for the Necromancer class:

  • Ring of Starless Skies Fix

An issue where the bonus from Ring of Starless Skies could get removed when Aspect of Gore Quills was activated has been resolved. This ensures that you don't miss out on any bonuses when utilizing your skills to their fullest potential.

  • Coldbringer's Aspect Fix

Shadow and Bone mages will now appropriately cast their spells while Coldbringer's Aspect is equipped. This fix ensures that you can make the most out of your minions' abilities.

  • Blood Mist Fix

Previously, Blood Mist could fail to activate while under the effect of a Bandit's Smoke Bomb. This issue has been resolved, allowing you to use your skills reliably in any situation.

  • Splintering Aspect Fix

A bug where Splintering Aspect would scale more than twice its intended amount when used with a two-handed weapon has been fixed. This ensures that your damage output remains balanced and fair.

Final Thoughts

Patch 1.3.0 brings a plethora of changes to the Necromancer class, making them an even more formidable force on the battlefield. The buffs to Minions, improvements to Bone Prison, and item updates provide players with exciting new build possibilities and enhance the overall gameplay experience. We can't wait to see how these changes will shape the Necromancer meta in Diablo 4. Happy hunting!
