As this week’s approaching Campfire Chat promises a discussion regarding the resurgence Vampiric Powers, players are looking forward to reuniting with their favorite seasonal features from Season of Blood. With so many powers to choose from, though, which will make the cut? We've taken a look at all the Vampiric Powers from Season 2 in Diablo 4, and picked our Top 5 that we'd like to see return to the game.

Season 3 introduced Seneschal Companion combat pets with a wide range of abilities that have mostly been well-received after Patch 1.3.1, but Vampiric Powers were different in the sense that they felt active and intentional. You weren’t left trying to figure out how much of an impact was making; you saw the animation and subsequent damage. Prey on the Weak, Blood Boil, Accursed Touch, Hemomancy, and Sanguine Brace are all on our list.

1. Prey on the Weak

The loss of this source of Vulnerable left several builds looking back to Passives like Enfeeblement or Glyphs such as Soul Siphon. The increased damage against Vulnerable enemies was also very nice, and that’s something we don’t get from other powers. Pairing this Vampiric Power with Soul Siphon allowed permanent, on-demand Vulnerable application. These powers also synergized beautifully with Essence Sap, which was first introduced alongside Vampiric Powers with Season 2’s launch.

2. Blood Boil

Season of Blood changed the landscape of broken builds, decreasing the use of most non-Overpower specializations. The guaranteed Overpower on such a short timer really helped some rotations feel fluid and effective, and the Volatile Blood Drops provided respectable AoE damage.

3. Accursed Touch

Accursed Touch granted near-permanent Vulnerable uptime when combined with Corpse Spiders. Using Corpse Spiders would unleash stored souls, causing a swarm of ghosts to charge enemies and explode. This combination was deadly and incredibly satisfying to watch.

4. Hemomancy

Hemomancy granted a strong, satisfying burst of AoE damage while providing solid self-healing when fighting larger groups. This Vampiric Power was especially helpful when facing fragile ranged enemies that dealt high damage, such as Corpse Bows.

5. Sanguine Brace

Sanguine Brace was one of the unsung heroes of Season 2, locking in Fortify while providing more Critical Strike Chance than most other sources. This spot could have gone to a few other Vampiric Powers, but the added Critical Strike Chance and permanent benefit of Damage while Fortified really helped to ease the pain of damage bucket changes at the start of Season 2.

We will know more about the return of Vampiric Powers in some way, shape, or form after the upcoming Campfire Chat on Thursday, February 29, so stay tuned. Which Vampiric Power’s comeback are you most hopeful for? Let us know in the comments below!
