December 26, 2023 2 minutes

Welcome to day four of our special Twelve Days of Mounts series, 2023 edition! With the holidays upon us, we are doing a series of highlights on remarkable or easy-to-collect mounts added in Dragonflight. Today's highlight is the Temperamental Skyclaw!

Temperamental Skyclaw

Today's highlight is the Temperamental Skyclaw! The Temperamental Skyclaw was one of the mysterious mounts introduced in the Dragonflight expansion that required players to solve a series of steps in order to obtain it.

  • Prerequisites

It is not entirely clear what the prerequisites are for obtaining the Temperamental Skyclaw, but it is known that a quest unlock is required. Players who have completed the "Sojourner of Azure Span" quest are guaranteed the unlock, but it is likely that completing one of the questlines that culminate in "True Survivors" or "Whack-a-Gnoll" is sufficient. However, further testing is needed to confirm this.

  • Dishes Required for the Mount

In order to obtain the Temperamental Skyclaw, players will need to collect the following dishes:

  • Flash Frozen Meat x20
  • Gnolan's House Special x20
  • Tuskarr Jerky x20

These dishes can be easily purchased from the Auction House. However, if you prefer to farm them yourself, you can obtain "Gnolan's House Special" by defeating Gnolls in Brackenhide Hollow and "Tuskarr Jerky" by defeating Darkhide Gnolls at coordinates 34.82, 45.33.

Flash Frozen Meat is also dropped by Gnolls at Camp Nowhere, but it will only drop for characters who have completed a specific side quest in Azure Span. The exact quest is unknown, but it is likely either "True Survivors" or "Whack-a-Gnoll". Keep in mind that Flash Frozen Meat can be bought and sold at the Auction House, although availability may be limited due to loot restrictions.

  • Trading the Dishes for the Mount

Once you have obtained a stack of each dish, head to Zon'Wogi at Three-Falls Lookout in Azure Span. Speak to him and ask about his Slyvern, then present Zon'Wagi with the collected dishes. This will complete the exchange and reward you with the Temperamental Skyclaw mount.

Did You Know?

It took players approximately one week after the launch of the Dragonflight expansion to decipher the steps required to obtain the Temperamental Skyclaw mount. The mystery surrounding its acquisition sparked a sense of adventure and excitement within the player community.

Conclusion

The Temperamental Skyclaw is a unique mount that offers players a challenging yet rewarding experience. By unraveling the secrets and completing the necessary steps, you can add this majestic creature to your collection. Whether you choose to farm the required dishes or purchase them from the Auction House, the journey towards obtaining the Temperamental Skyclaw is sure to be an unforgettable adventure.
