Adjustments made to Weekly Reset Raid Balance - Significant Smolderon Nerfs
Hey there, fellow gamers! It's WowCarry here, and today we have some exciting news about the latest weekly reset in our favorite game. Let's dive right into the details!
Smolderon Orb Weakaura Fix
On the Weekly Reset, we've noticed that the developers have made some adjustments to the automated Smolderon Orb weakaura. While it has been fixed, there are now only three orbs instead of four. Additionally, fewer lines spawn on each set, adding an extra layer of challenge to the encounter. Although more nerfs or changes might be present, these are the ones that we've managed to datamine.
Mythic Smolderon Tuning
Let's take a closer look at the tuning for Mythic Smolderon on the weekly reset:
- Seeking Inferno: No longer gives helpful or harmful threat.
- Seeking Inferno: No longer gives threat, initial threat, helpful threat, or harmful threat.
- Only 3 Orbs: Instead of the previous four orbs, only three orbs spawn per set.
- Overheated: Now only summons four waves, down from five.
It's evident that the first two changes directly target the Automated Weakauras for the Seeking Inferno mechanic. This private aura was being exploited by players who used Weakauras to track threat on the orbs. The fix to this workaround means that guilds who are either rekilling or progressing on this boss will need to revise their strategy. Most likely, they will go back to using the old Macro system that initial guilds employed for the encounter.
However, it's not all bad news. There is a significant nerf to the Smolderon encounter as well. With the removal of one orb from each spawn, now only three orbs appear instead of four. This change reduces the overall throughput and coordination required for the encounter, making the transition into each burn phase much easier.
Fyrakk Changes
As for Fyrakk, the fiery boss, we have discovered one change so far:
Searing Scream Cast Time Increase
The cast time for Searing Scream has been increased to 4 seconds, up from 2 seconds. This adjustment allows for a more lenient execution of your CC chain once the adds are grouped up. Similar to the Anduin Nerfs we've seen before, this change aims to decrease the frequency with which you need to perform your CC chain.
These are the changes we've datamined for now, but who knows what other surprises await us in this weekly reset? Stay tuned for more updates, and happy gaming!
