Blizzard Responds to Timerunning Pandamonium Queries - No Challenge Mode Gear

April 11, 2024 2 minutes

Blizzard has recently addressed some of the most frequently asked questions about Timerunning Pandamonium, a highly anticipated event in World of Warcraft. One of the significant announcements made is that there will be no challenge mode sets available for this event. Instead, players will have the opportunity to create new characters called Timerunners, exclusively for this event. These Timerunners can be created on any Dragonflight realm, whether it's the realm where you usually play, an alt realm, or even a completely new realm to you.

Timerunner Characters

When you select a Timerunner and enter the world, you'll be transported to the Remix world, where your Timerunner will start at level 10. Once the event concludes, your Timerunner characters will be converted into standard characters, and you can access them alongside your other characters from the character selection screen.

Changes in Pandaria

During the Timerunning Pandamonium event, when you're in Pandaria with your Timerunner, you'll notice that areas that underwent changes after the release of the original Mists of Pandaria (such as the Vale of Eternal Blossoms) will look like they do in Chromie Time. This means that the Vale will not have its original appearance or its Visions of N'Zoth content.

Legendary Cloak Quest Chain

The original legendary cloak questline will not be available for Timerunners. However, once you reach level 70 on a Timerunner, you'll receive the legendary cloak appearances on your Cloak of Infinite Potential, granting you access to Ordos for the event and across your entire WoW account.

Obtaining Mounts and Loot

Items that were only available during the original release of Mists of Pandaria, such as the Kor'kron War Wolf and challenge mode sets, will not be obtainable in this event. However, rare drops that are available in Dragonflight today, like the Son of Galleon or the Astral Cloud Serpent, can be acquired in Remix and purchased by Timerunner characters using the Bronze currency.

Timerunning Pandamonium includes all races and classes available in Dragonflight, including the addition of the Dracthyr. However, it's important to note that there is a one-Evoker-per-realm limit in Dragonflight, which players will need to consider when planning their characters.

Content and Daily Quests

Content that is currently available for Dragonflight characters will not be changed for Timerunners. As for daily and weekly quests that offer greater rewards, such as the Lorewalker Cho treasure cache and Heroic Deeds quest, they will remain once per character, per account.

Guilds and Achievements

If you're wondering about guilds and achievements, here's good news. Timerunner characters can be added to existing guilds, allowing you to continue completing guild achievement runs in Pandaria, just like anywhere else.
