Today, we will be discussing the trusty companion that accompanies us on our Delve groups in Season 1 of The War Within. Brann Bronzebeard is a versatile ally who can be customized to fulfill either a DPS (damage dealer) or a healer role. Read on to learn how to change Brann's role and discover the abilities he possesses in each role!

Selecting Brann's Role

If you're interested in modifying Brann's abilities, simply speak to him during a Delve. You have the option to transform him into a formidable damage dealer or a reliable healer.

Brann's Abilities Per Role

Brann possesses a set of unique abilities based on whether he is chosen to be a DPS or a healer. These abilities expand as Brann levels up by accomplishing objectives and clearing delves.

  • Abilities Brann has access to on both roles:

  • Aspect of the Turtle: When Brann is low on health, he will deflect all attacks and take 30% less damage for 5 seconds. However, he will be unable to attack during this time.
  • Brann's Epic Egg: Whenever a player applies a loss of control effect to an enemy, Brann will summon an egg. After 15 seconds, the egg hatches into a devilsaur, which attacks nearby enemies and causes them to cower in place for 2 seconds every 15 seconds.
  • Feign Death: Brann feigns death when being attacked or if players escape combat. This clever trick fools his enemies into ignoring him.
  • Flint and Tinder: After exiting combat, Brann builds a campfire that increases the Versatility stat of those nearby by 1 and allows cooking.
  • Ol' Faithful: Brann utilizes his trusty gun to fire ranged attacks at his enemies.
  • The Bronzebeard Spirit: Following substantial damage, Brann will heal for 30% of his maximum health. This ability can only activate once every 15 seconds.

  • Abilities Brann has access to as a Damage Dealer:

Ability Description
Ancient Weapon Oil Brann temporarily enchants a nearby player's weapon for 15 seconds, causing their spells and melee attacks to deal additional Fire damage.
Gryphadin's Battle Harness Whenever a player uses a major cooldown ability, Brann summons his loyal gryphon companion to bombard nearby enemies, inflicting significant damage every second for 10 seconds.
Ice Trap: When 3 or more enemies attack an ally, Brann hurls an ice trap at them, reducing their movement speed by 50% and occasionally rooting them in place for 3 seconds. The trap lasts for 15 seconds.
Monkey Leash Brann summons his pet monkey, Glibb, empowering nearby players with Aspect of the Monkey and increasing their movement speed by 10%.
Steel Traps Brann throws steel traps that snap shut on the first enemy that approaches, inflicting moderate Physical damage instantly and over 15 seconds.
Thirty Yards of Rope Brann throws his rope to free players from stuns and binds, granting them immunity to all such effects for 4 seconds.
Volley When surrounded by multiple enemies, Brann rains a volley of arrows down, dealing moderate Physical damage to all enemies in the area.

  • Abilities Brann Has Access to as a Healer:

Ability Description
Aegis of Ironforge Whenever a player takes damage, there is a chance for Brann to create a shield at their location. This shield reduces damage taken by 20% and prevents loss of control effects while standing within it for 8 seconds. This ability can only activate once every 3 minutes.
Ancient Alchemy Stone Whenever a player is healed by Dwarven Medicine, their overall healing received is increased by 1.0% for 6 seconds. This effect can stack.
Antidote Salve Brann cleanses an infected player, removing all Poison and Disease effects.
Bag of Snacks Brann launches a volley of snacks at injured players, restoring a moderate amount of health over 2 seconds.
Dwarfen Medicine Brann throws healing potions near injured players, restoring a moderate amount of health to anyone who walks through them. This ability has a limit of 3 potions.
Emergency Supplies When any player falls below 30% health, Brann will instantly heal them for 25% of their maximum health. This ability can only activate once every 3 minutes.
Relic of Uldum Brann brandishes a powerful ancient relic, providing significant healing to nearby allies over 15 seconds.
Tranquilizing Blow Dart Brann fires tranquilizing darts at empowered enemies, removing 1 Enrage effect and 1 Magic effect.
