Double Reputation in Plunderstorm - Expires Week of April 30th

April 15, 2024 3 minutes

Arrr, me hearties! Avast ye! It's time to set sail for an exciting adventure in the world of World of Warcraft. Blizzard has announced a special event called Plunderstorm, where you can earn double reputation until the week of April 30th. This is your chance to hoist the sails, batten the hatches, and dive into the battle-royale-inspired Plunderstorm event to earn amazing rewards.

Plunge into the Battle

Plunderstorm is a challenging battle that takes place in the Arathi Highlands. In this pirating adventure, you'll face off against 60 other players in thrilling matches that last 10-15 minutes. The goal is to be the last one standing and claim victory. Along the way, you'll level up, acquire new abilities and spells, and loot chests for valuable treasures. But watch out for the encroaching storm, as you'll need to avoid its wrath to survive.

  • A Pirate's Life for You

Plunderstorm is a standalone event that doesn't require any expansion purchase. However, you will need a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time to participate. Even Classic players can join in on the plundering fun by simply installing the modern World of Warcraft client. It's a high-stakes, play-by-the-seat-your-pants match that offers a plethora of rewards.

  • Prepare to Plunder

To get started, launch the Battle.net desktop app and click on the World of Warcraft icon. If it's missing, click on All Games and select the game from the list. Confirm that you wish to install World of Warcraft and once you're in the modern WoW, select Plunderstorm from the game menu. Create a new ready-to-play character unique to this event and choose whether you want to play solo or with friends in a duo. Don't worry if you're queued for a duo without a partner, as you'll be automatically matched with one. Customization options are available, and you can access chat and see the queue from the Character Select Screen.

Action Bar and Abilities, Worthy Mates

As you plunder the treasure chests and defeat enemies, you'll discover lootable spells, abilities, and upgrades. These valuable additions are automatically added to your Action Bar, allowing you to unleash your pirate skills on your enemies. Some abilities require good positioning and player targeting, so be sure to experiment with different combinations to find what works best for you. You can also stack abilities to rank them up, increasing their power and effectiveness.

  • Rewards A-Plenty for Plundering Pirates

By participating in Plunderstorm, you can earn a variety of rewards. From cosmetics and pets to titles and mounts, there's something for every pirate to enjoy. Some of the rewards include the majestic Polly Roger parrot mount, Bubbles the crab pet, swashbuckling cosmetics, and Trader's Tender for the Trading Post. Even if you don't claim victory, you'll still earn rewards along your plundering journey.

  • Customization and Renown

To view your progress and apply weapon and transmog customizations, change titles, or summon pets, you can interact with Da'kash Grimledger standing in front of the spawn point in the Plunderstorm lobby. Renown and customization unlocks are simultaneously unlocked for both World of Warcraft and Wrath of the Lich King Classic characters. You can find them in your Collection, and each Renown level unlock is noted in colored text under the reward's name.
