Forthcoming Balance Adjustments on Weekly Reset - Frost Death Knight and Shadow Priest

Now that the Race to World First is over, Blizzard has revealed upcoming class adjustments in their Weekly Reset. These changes will involve buffs to Frost Death Knights, Shadow Priests, and more. Blizzard continues to closely monitor class performance data in-game, as well as player feedback, in order to ensure a balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience for all.

Death Knight

In the Frost specialization, Blizzard has made adjustments to the Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible 2-piece set. The damage increase to the next Frostwyrm's Fury has been reduced from 5% to 4%, with the stacks remaining unchanged. Additionally, the effectiveness of Frostwyrm's Fury has been lowered from 30% to 25%. Howling Blast damage has also been reduced from 20% to 10%.

Furthermore, changes have been made to the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope 4-piece set. Chill Streak can now bounce 3 additional times (previously 2 times), and the chance to proc a bonus effect has been increased to 35% from 30%. Chill Streak damage has also received a 10% increase. Obliterate damage has been boosted by 8%, while Enduring Chill's chance to bounce has been increased to 25% from 20%. Lastly, Piercing Chill damage has been raised to 12% from 10%.

Druid

  • Restoration

In the Restoration specialization, all healing has been increased by 3%. However, this change will not apply to PvP combat.

Priest

  • Shadow

In the Shadow specialization, all damage has been boosted by 5%. Similar to Restoration Druids, this adjustment will not affect PvP combat.

Warlock

  • Affliction

In the Affliction specialization, all damage dealt by the player and their pet's abilities has been increased by 6%. PvP combat remains unaffected by this change.

  • Destruction

The Destruction specialization has also received a 6% increase in damage dealt by the player and their pet's abilities. However, like the other adjustments, this change does not apply to PvP combat.

Player versus Player

  • Demon Hunter

Havoc

The talent Chaotic Disposition now has a 33.33% chance (previously 7.77%) to increase damage by 4% (previously 17%) in PvP combat. This adjustment provides a more consistent average damage bonus, reducing variance.

  • Druid

Feral

In PvP combat, healing from Regrowth has been reduced by 20% (previously 43%).

Evoker

In PvP combat, Azure Strike damage has been increased by 40%. Additionally, the cooldowns of the Time Stop and Chrono Loop PvP talents have been reduced to 45 seconds (previously 1 minute).

Augmentation

Upheaval damage has been reduced by 10% in PvP combat, while Eruption damage has been increased by 15%.

Preservation

In PvP combat, Dream Flight healing has been increased by 100%. However, mana regeneration has been reduced by 5% (previously 10%).

  • Priest

Holy

In PvP combat, all healing has been increased by 6%.
