Maximizing Rewards in the Hearthstone 10th Anniversary Event

March 11, 2024 3 minutes

Welcome to the Hearthstone 10 Year Anniversary Event! In celebration of this milestone, World of Warcraft is hosting an exciting event filled with fun, games, and incredible prizes. Throughout the event, Hearthstone minions will be summoned into the world, offering players the chance to defeat them and earn new cards, mounts, transmog items, and more!

The Hunt Begins

For those familiar with the Diablo IV launch event, the Hearthstone 10 Year Anniversary Event is reminiscent of hunting Treasure Goblins. At regular intervals, the genius toymaking inventor, Whizbang, will open a portal in three different locations: Valdrakken, Stormwind, and Durotar. These portals will spawn violent Hearthstone minions, providing players with the opportunity to defeat them and collect various rewards.

If you're wondering when Whizbang is about to appear, keep an eye out for the portals at the aforementioned locations. It's important to note that although there is a lockout mentioned in the blue post, players have reported successfully hopping shards for multiple chances at loot. However, similar to the Diablo event, these areas tend to experience lag, and the events do not consistently spawn at the same time.

A Fiery Mount

During the Hearthstone 10 Year Anniversary Event, an exciting new mount is up for grabs - the Fiery Hearthsteed! This blazing creature will be automatically awarded to everyone who logs into Hearthstone at some point during the event. Additionally, unlocking this mount will also earn you the Hearthstoned: Fiery Edition Feat of Strength. So make sure to log in and claim your rewards!

Collecting Cards and More

Collecting cards is a fundamental aspect of playing Hearthstone, and this event offers players the opportunity to obtain a wide array of cards. While MC Farala can grant players a Hearthstone Starter Pack, there are 21 more waiting to be found from the Hearthstone minions spawned by Whizbang. These minions will appear around every hour, so it's a good idea to hang around the Hearthstone tables set up in Valdrakken, Stormwind, and Durotar to catch them all!

It's worth noting that you don't actually need to play Hearthstone to complete the "Play Hearthstone!" quest. Instead, seek out the Shady Dealer and purchase a set of wild cards that can be played without claiming a seat at the table. Completing this quest is purely bonus and not required to obtain any rewards.

Collecting 10 different cards will grant you the Hearthstone Beginner achievement as well as the Hearthstone Game Table toy. But if you manage to collect all 21 cards, you will be rewarded with the prestigious Hearthstone Card Collection achievement.
