Patch 10.2 Class Tuning Hotfixes (Oct 12th) - Adjustments to Demonology Warlock and Fury Warrior
Welcome to the latest blog post by WowCarry! Today, we have some exciting news for the Demonology Warlock and Fury Warrior classes. Blizzard has pushed some class tuning hotfixes to the PTR, bringing some changes to these two specializations. Let's dive in and take a closer look at what's in store!
Demonology Changes
First up, let's talk about the changes to the Demonology Warlock. One of the notable updates is regarding the Doom Brand ability. When this debuff is removed, players now have a chance to summon a Doomfiend. This Doomfiend will cast 5 Doom Bolt Volleys before departing. Each Doom Bolt Volley will deal significant Shadow damage to enemies.
The amount of damage dealt by each Doom Bolt Volley is calculated based on the following equation: 2.773875 * (Spell power * 1) * 1 * (1 + Versatility)) * 1.169617819. The damage is spread across 4 enemies, but if the Doom Bolt Volley hits a single target, it will deal 1.5 times the damage.
Affliction and Destruction Changes
The changes to Doom Brand also apply to Affliction and Destruction Warlocks. With the removal of the debuff, players have a chance to summon a Doomfiend. Just like in Demonology, the Doomfiend will cast 5 Doom Bolt Volleys before disappearing. The damage calculation remains the same, affecting up to 4 enemies or dealing increased damage to a single target.
Devout Ashdevil's Pactweave Set
Additionally, there is an exciting item set for Demonology Warlocks called the Devout Ashdevil's Pactweave. When wearing all 4 pieces of this set, the chance to summon a Doomfiend is further increased. This means more opportunities to deal devastating Shadow damage to your enemies.
Fury Warrior Changes
Now, let's move on to the changes for Fury Warriors. One of the talents that has received an update is Recklessness. Previously, it only generated Rage. But now, it also greatly empowers your next 2 Bloodthirsts or Raging Blows. This enhancement adds more versatility to your gameplay and allows for even more powerful attacks.
Other Fury Warrior Talents
In addition to the Recklessness talent update, Fury Warriors have some changes to their other talents as well. Whirlwind now has a 7-second cooldown, but it deals 80% increased damage. This change ensures that Fury Warriors can deal more damage with this signature ability.
Another talent, Slam, has received an adjustment as well. It now has a 9-second cooldown instead of 12 seconds and generates 10 Rage. On top of that, it deals 100% increased damage, giving Fury Warriors another powerful attack in their arsenal.
Improved Raging Blow Talent
Fury Warriors also see an improvement in their Improved Raging Blow talent. With this update, Crushing Blow has a 20% chance to instantly reset its own cooldown. This change allows Fury Warriors to utilize this ability more frequently, increasing their damage output.
Conclusion
With these class tuning hotfixes, both Demonology Warlocks and Fury Warriors have received exciting updates to their abilities and talents. The changes bring additional depth and power to each specialization, adding more options for players to explore in battle. We can't wait to see how these adjustments will impact gameplay in future patches. You can also pre-order spots in the upcoming Amirdrassil Raid here to get ahead of the curve!
