Classes

  • Class Tuning

Macros and Dispel Variants: Macros that use non-healer versions of dispels will now automatically override the ability with the appropriate healer dispel variant if the player is in a healer specialization. This change affects several classes including Discipline Priests, Holy Priests, Holy Paladins, Restoration Druids, Restoration Shamans, Mistweaver Monks, and Preservation Evokers.

Returning Tier Sets and Trinkets: The power of many returning set bonuses for Season 4 has been updated to match the increased power of the new gear. This adjustment ensures a balanced gameplay experience throughout the season.

Dungeons and Raids

  • Ulduar Timewalking

Several issues in Ulduar Timewalking have been addressed:

  • Liquid Pyrite now properly restores ammunition.
  • Burning Tar no longer incorrectly damages players and vehicles that are far away.
  • Tar now properly slows and damages enemies.
  • Mimiron will no longer attack players while remaining untargetable.
  • General Vezax's Mark of the Faceless no longer deals excessive damage.
  • Boss enemies no longer move great distances when tanks are too close.
  • Yogg-Saron's tentacles no longer spawn within the boss model.

In Follower Dungeons, followers will now refrain from casting Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp/Fury of the Aspects when the player can already cast these abilities themselves.

Items

  • Raid Loot Adjustments

Raid loot from Vault of the Incarnates and Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible has been adjusted to align with changes made in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope:

  • Class set tokens now drop at a new ratio of 1:3 relative to non-token items.
  • Very Rare items have a separate chance to drop in addition to a boss's standard quantity of loot.
  • Further tuning to over- and underperforming raid trinkets can be expected before or shortly after the start of Dragonflight Season 4.
  • Specific adjustments have been made to various raid trinkets to ensure balanced gameplay.

  • Dungeon Trinket Rework

Several dungeon trinkets have been significantly reworked to enhance their gameplay impact:

  • Tome of Unstable Power
  • Umbrelskul's Fractured Heart
  • Globe of Jagged Ice
  • Water's Beating Heart
  • Granyth's Enduring Scale
  • Inexorable Resonator

Additionally, adjustments have been made to the following dungeon trinkets:

  • Kyrakka's Searing Embers
  • Miniature Singing Stones
  • Mutated Magmammoth Scale

New glyphs have been added to transform the appearance of recently updated Covenant abilities back to their old Covenant visuals. These glyphs can be purchased from Covenant quartermasters.

In the Appearances collection, wrist appearances are now shown on the right wrist instead of the left. This change allows for better visibility of certain one-sided appearances in the collection pane, such as the Gothic Corsage.

Pet Battles

The Briarhorn Hatchling has undergone a transformation and is now classified as a Beast-type instead of Mechanical-type.

Player versus Player

  • Battleground Blitz Brawl

Based on player feedback and internal data, some changes have been made to the Battleground Blitz Brawl introduced in Guardians of the Dream. These changes aim to improve the game mode and provide a fair and enjoyable experience:

  • Restrictions on capture the flag maps have been lifted, allowing non-tank specializations to participate in Warsong Gulch and Twin Peaks. Tanks will still face off against other tanks, and the new buff "Empowered Carrier" will only be applied if there are no tanks in the match.
  • Mount speed increases have been adjusted for all maps, with a slightly higher increase on larger maps like Arathi Basin and Deepwind Gorge.
  • Eye of the Storm now prevents fall damage for both teams during the first 10 seconds of a match.
