A new feature is coming that will allow players to exchange their lower tier crests for higher tier crests once they have no further use for them. This is a fantastic opportunity to upgrade your gear and further enhance your gameplay experience. So, let's delve into the details of this eagerly awaited crest trading system!

Trading-Up Crests in Patch 10.2

In Patch 10.2, players will have the ability to trade their lower tier crests for higher tier crests. This feature provides a solution for players who have reached a certain item level on each piece of gear and are looking for ways to progress further. Now, you can trade in those crests that you no longer need and obtain powerful crests that will aid you in your adventures.

Let's take a look at the crests available in Patch 10.2:

Note: Crests can now be traded up for higher-level crests once the lower level crest's item level has been reached or surpassed. This means that you will need to meet specific item level requirements for each trade.

To give you a clearer understanding, let's use Season 2 item level numbers as an example. Players will become eligible to trade their Whelpling's Dreaming Crests for Drake's Dreaming Crests when every gear slot reaches an item level of 411 or higher.

Trading up to Wyrm's Dreaming Crests will be available at an item level of 424, and the opportunity to trade up to Aspect's Dreaming Crests will open up at an item level of 437. Remember, these rules apply to crest redundancy as well.

How to Unlock Crest Trading

In order to unlock the option to trade in your crests for higher-tier versions, you must have gear that reaches a certain item level. Once you reach this item level milestone, you will earn a special achievement. Here are the item level requirements for each achievement:

• Whelping to Drake - Dreaming of Drakes

• Achieve at least item level 450 in every gear slot.

• Drake to Wyrm - Dreaming of Wyrms

• Achieve at least item level 463 in every gear slot.

• Wyrm to Aspect - Dreaming of Aspects

• Achieve at least item level 476 in every gear slot.

Once you have obtained the relevant achievement, make your way to Vaskarn who will now have a new crest trade available for you!

Crest Trading Costs

While the exact costs for Crest Trading have not been confirmed for all trades on the 10.2 PTR, we do have some information regarding the trade costs:

• Whelpling to Drake: 90 Whelpling Crests for 15 Drake Crests
• Drake to Wyrm: To be confirmed
• Wyrm to Aspect: To be confirmed

Based on available data, it appears that the conversion rate for Drake to Wyrm and Wyrm to Aspect could possibly be the same as the conversion rate for Whelpling to Drake. This speculation is supported by entries in the database that mention items purchasable for 90 Drake Crests and 90 Wyrm Crests. However, it's important to note that these lines might be unused or subject to change as the patch undergoes further development.
