September 27, 2023 9 minutes

Hey there WoW fans! The Turbulent Timeways event for Season 2 is finally here. We've got some exciting additions to this event, including a brand new mount and a new XP buff. Let's dive into all the details of what you can expect from this end-of-season event.

New Mount: Sandy Shalewing

First up, let's talk about the new mount you can earn in this event - the Sandy Shalewing. To obtain this majestic mount, you must complete the achievement called "Master of the Turbulent Timeways." This achievement requires you to gain Mastery of Timeways during five different weeks of the Turbulent Timeways events. So make sure to participate in the event regularly to earn this stunning mount.

The Sandy Shalewing features intricate patterns on its wings that resemble sand flowing through an hourglass. It's a truly mesmerizing sight that you won't want to miss!

  • How to Obtain Mastery of Timeways

Before you can obtain the Sandy Shalewing mount, you'll need to earn Mastery of Timeways five times. You can do this by completing four timewalking dungeons during the event. Each time you complete a Timewalking dungeon, you'll earn a stack of Knowledge of Timeways. Once you have obtained four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways, it will transform into Mastery of Timeways, bringing you one step closer to that shiny new mount.

Turbulent Timeways Rotation and Rewards

For Season 2 of the Dragonflight, the Turbulent Timeways event will feature different timewalking events each week. Here's the full rotation for this event:

Week One: Cataclysm Timewalking

The first week of the event kicks off with Cataclysm Timewalking. Get ready to explore the Firelands raid dungeon and take on the elemental lord Ragnaros and his minions. During Cataclysm Timewalking, you'll also have the opportunity to complete six dungeons from Deathwing's era.

The Firelands is a molten domain created by the titans to contain Ragnaros and his minions. After Deathwing's emergence, Ragnaros and his forces attempted to invade Mount Hyjal but were repelled by the defenders. Now, Ragnaros is rallying his loyalists to defend the Firelands once again.

To participate, you must be level 35 or above. The raid difficulty is set to Normal, and you can assemble a raid group of 10 to 30 players. Don't worry if you don't have a regular group, as the Group Finder can help you find like-minded adventurers.

  • Cataclysm Dungeons

Here are the dungeons you can tackle during Cataclysm Timewalking:

  • The Stonecore: Explore this cavern in the Temple of Earth where the Twilight's Hammer worked on Deathwing.
