Blizzard, the renowned gaming company, has recently announced some exciting updates that will be implemented in the upcoming Patch 10.2 PTR. These changes include class tuning adjustments, a revamp of the Marks Hunter tier set bonus, a buff to Sin Rogue, and a nerf to Enhancement Shaman. Let's dive into the details of these updates and see how they will impact the game.

Class Tuning

  • Demon Hunter

The Havoc specialization of Demon Hunter will see a reduction in the bonus to magic damage provided by the Demon Hide ability. Previously set at 4%, it will now be reduced to 3%. Additionally, the Fel Barrage ability will have its damage reduced by 6%. Another change affects the Shattered Destiny ability, which will now require 12 Fury instead of 10 Fury to increase the demon form duration.

The Vengeance specialization of Demon Hunter will receive a beneficial change to the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope (2) Set Bonus. The Flare Up damage will now benefit from talents that increase Fire damage.

  • Evoker

The Evoker class will undergo some adjustments to its Preservation ability. The developers have expressed concerns regarding the amount of Essence Bursts generated by the 2 piece bonus. As a result, the number of Living Flames that Preservation can cast will be reduced from 5 to 3. The 4 piece bonus will also be tweaked, with the direct heal effect of Echo being removed and the power of Echo being increased to 70% from 50%.

  • Hunter

The Marksmanship specialization of Hunter will experience a rework of the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope set bonuses. These changes aim to enhance single target damage. The (2) Set Bonus will now increase Rapid Fire damage and cause Rapid Fire to launch a Volley when empowered by Trick Shots. The (4) Set Bonus will give a chance to reset the cooldown of Rapid Fire and make it fire 100% more shots during its channel when Focus is spent.

  • Rogue

The Assassination specialization of Rogue will receive damage increases to several abilities. Garrote damage will be increased by 8%, Rupture damage by 20%, and Deathmark damage by 13%. The Zoldyck Recipe will also apply to additional damage sources, such as Envenom, Sepsis, Vicious Venoms, and Envenomous Explosion from the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope (4) set bonus. However, the damage of Envenomous Explosion will be reduced by 10%.

The Outlaw specialization will see a reduction in the additional chance for Sinister Strike to strike an additional time provided by the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope (4) Set Bonus. It will now be set at 10%, down from 15%.

The Subtlety specialization will receive adjustments to the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope (2) Set Bonus. The summoned shadow clone finisher will now deal 70% damage of the triggering finisher, an increase from the previous 50%. The proc rate per finishing move will also be adjusted. Additionally, the Shadow Rupture ability will no longer stack and its duration will be increased to 16 seconds from 8 seconds. The damage of the shadow clone finisher will now consistently scale with talents that modify Shadow damage. The (4) Set Bonus will increase all shadow clone damage by 20%, up from 10%.

  • Shaman

The Enhancement specialization of Shaman will undergo a reduction in the damage dealt by all abilities. The decrease will be set at 3%.

Conclusion

These class tuning adjustments and set bonus changes in Patch 10.2 PTR will have a significant impact on gameplay for Demon Hunters, Evokers, Hunters, Rogues, and Shamans. Players will need to adapt their strategies and playstyles accordingly to maximize the potential of these updates. Stay tuned for more information and keep exploring the exciting world of Blizzard's renowned game.
