Blizzard recently made some class tuning adjustments that will be implemented with Season 3 on November 14th. These changes aim to balance out the overperforming and underperforming specs in World of Warcraft. Additionally, a few last-minute tuning adjustments were made to the Tier Set bonuses for some classes in Season 3. Let's take a look at the specifics of these changes.

Death Knight

Unholy Death Knights will see an increase in damage for several abilities, including Death Coil by 10%, Scourge Strike/Clawing Shadows by 10%, Ghoul by 8%, Virulent Plague by 20%, and Apocalypse ghoul by 5%. These adjustments should help improve their overall performance.

Demon Hunter

Vengeance Demon Hunters will see a reduction of 20% in Bonus Sigil of Flame damage granted by the Amirdrassil Tier Set. Additionally, the Illuminated Sigils talent will now increase Parry chance against affected targets by 15%, down from 20%. These changes aim to balance out the spec's power.

Druid

  • Guardian

Guardian Druids will now gain 12 Rage from casting Mangle, up from 10. Cat Form energy regeneration is also increased by 50%, providing more sustained damage output.

  • Balance

Balance Druids will also benefit from increased Cat Form energy regeneration, now at 50% instead of 35%. This change aims to improve their energy management during combat.

  • Restoration

In PvP Combat, Rip damage increased by 140%. Rake damage increased by 60%. Shred damage increased by 140%. Ferocious Bite damage increased by 200%. The energy regeneration for Cat Form has been boosted to 50% as well.

Evoker

Augmentation Evokers have been adjusted due to their high damage output and utility. Their damage contributions to the group are being reduced to achieve better balance with other specializations. The changes include:

  • Ebon Might now grants 6.5% of the Evoker's primary stat instead of 8%.
  • Close as Clutchmates increases the effectiveness of Ebon Might and Breath of Eons by 10%, down from 20%.
  • The amount of Versatility granted by Shifting Sands has been decreased by 15%.

These adjustments aim to bring Augmentation Evokers more in line with other specs in terms of their overall power.

Mage

  • Frost

The Amirdrassil Tier Set 2-piece bonus for Frost Mages now increases Glacial Spike damage by 16%, up from 10%. The explosion damage from Glacial Spike has been reduced to 15% of the damage dealt, down from 20%.

Monk

  • Brewmaster

The Amirdrassil Tier Set 2-piece bonus for Brewmaster Monks now increases the bonus damage of Breath of Fire to 40%, up from 20%. The 4-piece bonus now provides a 15% bonus damage increase to targets afflicted by Breath of Fire, up from 10%.

  • Windwalker

The Amirdrassil Tier Set for Windwalker Monks now increases the occurrence of Blackout Reinforcement by melee abilities by 66%. This effect will also increase Blackout Kick damage by 200%, up from 150%. These changes aim to improve the spec's overall damage output.

Paladin

  • Retribution

All ability damage for Retribution Paladins has been increased by 3%, which should enhance their overall damage potential.

Priest

  • Discipline

Discipline Priests have seen slight adjustments to their healing throughput in raids, as it was slightly higher than intended. To bring them in line with other healers, the following changes have been made:

  • Divine Aegis absorption reduced to 5% of healing done, down from 10%.
  • Inescapable Torment damage reduced by approximately 19%.

These adjustments should help balance out Discipline Priests' healing capabilities.

Rogue

  • Assassination

The Amirdrassil Tier Set 4-piece set bonus tooltip for Assassination Rogues now accurately reflects its actual output. Additionally, the single-target damage of the 4-piece set bonus has been increased by 4%.

Warlock

  • Destruction

The Amirdrassil Tier Set for Destruction Warlocks now increases Flame Rift damage by 50%. Unstable Tear and Shadowy Tear damage have both been increased by 5%. Chaos Tear damage has been increased by 30%.

  • Demonology

The Amirdrassil Tier Set for Demonology Warlocks now increases Doom Brand single-target damage by 50% and Doomfiend single-target damage by 40%. The Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible 2-piece Set Bonus now reduces the cooldown of Grimoire: Felguard by 0.5 seconds, down from 1 second.

These changes aim to bring Demonology Warlocks in line with other classes while also improving the effectiveness of their set bonuses.
